Brian O’Malley makes his full length feature debut with Dark Sky Films’ ‘Let Us Prey’. The script for this supernatural thriller was penned by David Caims. ‘Let Us Prey’ stars ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Liam Cunningham, Pollyanna McIntosh (Woman), Bryan Larkin, Hanna Stanbridge, Douglas Russell, Niall Greig Fulton, Ralph Beswick and Brian Vernel.

A small town police station is taken over by a desire for blood and murder when both criminals and officers come under the spell of a mysterious stranger. The officers and criminals reveal their true nature and their horrible crimes, but the man in cell 6  is much more than the wanderer he appears to be. He is there to not only reveal the darkness inside each of them, but also to claim their souls. Will anyone make it out alive? You’ll have to watch ‘Let Us Prey’ to find out.

I stumbled across ‘Let Us Prey’ while trying to find something to watch on Netflix, and I’m glad I did. ‘Let Us Prey’ was surprisingly entertaining, although Netflix predicted I wouldn’t really like it, they gave it a 3 star rank (shame on you Netflix). The characters were well written and there were several plot twists that kept me guessing. The movie had a nice balance of suspense, action and gore. Cunningham, who plays the stranger, referred to as “Six” and McIntosh, who plays the main character PC. Rachel Heggie, really did a fantastic job in their roles.

‘Let Us Prey’ is definitely worth watching. If you don’t have Netflix, don’t worry, there are other ways to see the film. It’s available Amazon, YouTube (rent) and on most digital platforms as well as on DVD.
