Horror movie icons Jen and Sylvia Soska are wrapping up this season of Hellevator and are gearing up to not only produce, but co-write and star in director Lisa Ovies new horror-comedy Puppet Killer.
Synopsis:
Years after a the mysterious disappearance of his stepmother, Jamie and his friends return to his family’s cabin for a Christmas getaway, but the cabin holds a dark secret. Jamie becomes convinced that his childhood puppet is a magically animated killer. Will Jamie be able to save his friends, or is he crazy?
The cast for the film includes Richard Harmon, Kaj-Erik Eriksen, Jen and Sylvia Soska, Johannah Newmarch, Aleks Paunovic, Geoff Gustafson, Lisa Durput, Sage Brocklebank and Lee Majdoub.
The Soska sisters (aka The Twisted Twins) co-wrote Puppet Killer along with Kevin Mosley. The film is Lisa Ovies’ first full-length feature. But with the Soskas attached we are guaranteed a bloody goody time. The “Twisted Twins”, on the other hand, are by no means new to the horror genre. The sisters wrote and directed Dead Hooker in a Trunk, American Mary, a segment for ABC’s of Death 2, See No Evil 2 and are the hosts of GSN’s horror game show Hellevator.
