First up we have a sleazy lil’ number called: Emanuelle and Francoise (1975) Francoise (Patrizia Gori) arrives home from her modeling sesh to find her abusive ass of a lover Carlo (the legendary Big George Eastman) chin deep in the crotch of another. This causes ol’ Franny to commit that hoary ol’ chestnut; train assisted suicide. Enter Emanuelle (Rosemarie Lindt), Francoise’s sister who anonymously saunters in to Carlo’s life and begins the ol’ seduction bag (along with drawing unflattering pictures of herself…as one does). Soon she drugs that big ape and the fun really begins as she drags his ass into her torture room (hidden behind a moving wall in her apartment!!) where she

Blu-ray Review: The 27 Club (2019)

Music man Quinn Scott (Travis Grant) goes and joins the 27 Club (you know, the exclusive collective of rock n’ rollers that have done the whole croakin’ bag on their big two seven)…well, to be honest; it isn’t entirely up to him, as a dagger toothed demon emerges from a magic-ass mirror and drags him to Satan knows where…as is so often the case. That brings us to Jason (Derrick Denicola) who is doing the whole documentary bit on the ol’ 27 Club. As he investigates the demise of the mighty Quinn, he discovers one of those arcane tomes the youngsters are so bananas for these days…which of course he swipes with the quickness. Well, that beastly book can do the whole demon summoning dealio (and said supernatural creatures can grant wealth and fame…with a catch of course), and Quinn’s band-mates will do anything to possess that artifact like it’s some sort of preternatural Klondike bar! Look, The 27 Club

Celebrate Alien Day With These Facts

Happy Alien Day! For those not in the know, today is that day we celebrate the release of the first Alien film, and this year it’s special, not just because it’s the 4th annual Alien Day but it’s also the 40th Anniversary of the film’s release back in 1979! What better way to celebrate than with sharing some interesting trivia relating to the films. Warning, there may some spoilers ahead. The film series was originally going to be called Star Beast When production staff first met H.R. Giger to see if he would be perfect for the project, he offered them drugs. The members declined but asked Giger why he has them and he said it helped “Keep the nightmares away.”, the crew members knew right there he was perfect for the job. This leads to the following bit of info… H.R. Giger suffered from severe night terrors; he then took what he saw in his dreams and made them

Movie Review: Netflix’s The Silence

Before I begin this review I would like to clear something up. Like many, when I saw the trailer for Netflix’s The Silence I assumed that it was a rip off of A Quiet Place. But here’s the thing, The Silence is based on Tom Lebbon’s novel by the same name, the same book The Quiet Place was inspired by. That means that they are adaptations of the same book. Netflix actually began work on The Silence before A Quiet Place even began filming. Even though there are similarities, the two films are pretty different when it comes to the story. What I’m saying is, The Silence is NOT a ripoff. What are the similarities between The Silence and The Quiet Place? First, they both feature creatures that attack when they hear a noise, but the creatures are very different. Both films to feature deaf characters and a family on the run. There are also two children in each movie.

‘Freddy’s Dead’ Director Adapting ‘A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting’ For Netflix

Netflix is adapting the first of Joe Ballarini‘s three-book series A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting for a monster-filled family feature, Deadline reports, with the possibility of a trilogy. Rachel Talalay (Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, Tank Girl) is in the director’s for the film whose script will be written by Ballarini himself. “The book is about an apathetic babysitter who doesn’t like kids very much and is horrified to discover that the child she is sitting for has been stolen by monsters. It’s her responsibility along, with a secret society of baby sitters who do battle against the creatures of the night, to save the child and the world from things that go bump in the night.” Walden Media and Montecito Pictures Company will be producing along with Ivan Reitman and Amie Karp, with Naia Cucukov of Walden Media, Tom Pollock, and Ilona Herzberg executive producing.

Movie Review: Hellboy (2019) Watch in 4DX or Heckle at Home

The Hellboy films by Guillermo del Toro sought out to humanize monsters. His character portrayals were softer and relatable. Hellboy by director Neil Marshall and writer Andrew Cosby instead created a genuinely fun, weird adventure. Hellboy’s filled with blood, gore, bad jokes, and killer visuals. The film aspired to blaze its own trail from the beginning. Telling the Hellboy story differently was the goal. I sought out a different experience as well and saw the film in 4DX. 4DX is a motion picture technology which adds environmental effects. Seat motion, wind, rain, scents, and lights accompany a standard audio and visual movie. The technology debuted in 2009 in Seoul, South Korea. The tech hit the U.S. in 2014, and this would be my first experience with it. The movie takes the obligation to share origin stories seriously. It does what it can to make a new place in the minds of the audience. The opening scene sets the stage for

Documentary Series “On The Trail Of Bigfoot” Delves Into The History Of The Legendary Beast

Bigfoot has been a thing of legend for centuries and the hunt for the beast with huge feet still continues to this day. Seth Breedlove‘s documentary “On the Trail of Bigfoot” delves into the mythology surrounding the beast and the science used to search for him. The six-episode series was filmed in fourteen U.S. states and features over twenty interviews with witnesses, investigators, historians, and researchers on the American legend. “On the Trail of Bigfoot” walks viewers through the history of the Bigfoot phenomenon, starting with the earliest known reports of apelike creatures in the 1800s and bringing them all the way up to the modern day. During the filming of the nearly three-hour series, Breedlove experienced numerous unusual incidents and even managed to capture some mysterious eyeshine watching his camp from a nearby hillside. Along the way, he was joined by skeptics, Bigfoot enthusiasts and those intent on solving the mystery once and for all. Over the course of
