Movie Review: The Devil's Left Hand (2023)

Movie Review: The Devil’s Left Hand (2023)

You know what’s worse than one of those baby gender reveal parties where like half the guests get burned or some such shit? Try a housewarming party with a séance as the entertainment, during which the Medium is more than touched by a literal goddamned demon (redundant, I know… ). Speaking of that demon; that one man (monster?) Satanic Panic… who is also a shape-shifter, but more on that in a bit… makes it a malevolent mission to stalk n’ slay every attendee of that supernatural soaked soiree! How many of these fine folks have R.S.V.P.’d to their own demise, or can they solve the mystery of the evil that wants them extinct?!! So, what’s the good word with Harley Wallen’s The Devil’s Left Hand? Well, it’s a polished, suspenseful preternatural picture, so there’s that! Remember that shape-shifting bit I mentioned up yonder? It provides a shit-ton of suspense (also which was just mentioned for the forgetful among you) because,

The Horrific True Story That Inspired Upcoming Horror Film About Lake 'Lanier'

The Horrific True Story That Inspired Upcoming Horror Film About Lake ‘Lanier’

Lake Lanier is, without question, one of Georgia’s most famous landmarks, but it hides a very dark secret below its surface. The filmmakers behind the upcoming indie horror film Lanier, whose new teaser trailer has been released, are using the lake’s real, dark history as a basis for their story. . Written and directed by William Eric Anderson and Cindy Estenfanie Kunz-Anderson, the film stars Shekeb Sekander, Jarrett Collins, Ali Ashtigo, and Chris Johnson. In the film, “A detective is forced to come to a realization of the dark truths hidden at the bottom of Lake Lanier.” Before you see the movie, there are a few things you should know about Lanier’s infamous history. Before construction began on the Buford Dam, the area was the location of Oscarville, a thriving black community, until one event sent things spiraling out of control, ending in bloodshed and a town sunk beneath the depths of the Georgia lake. In 1912, a 19-year-old white

Criminally Underrated Horror Movies You Need To Watch (Part III)

Criminally Underrated Horror Movies You Need To Watch (Part III)

The third volume of our series, ‘Criminally Underrated Horror Movies You Need To Watch,’ provides more great films you may have missed. Be sure to check out Part I and Part II of our list. Keep an eye out for more lists to come. The Exorcist III (1990) The Exorcist III is the only film (in my opinion) that comes close to the quality of the original movie. Featuring a fantastic cast that gave powerhouse performances, The Exorcist III is simply brilliant. In the film, “A police lieutenant uncovers more than he bargained for as his investigation of a series of murders, which have all the hallmarks of the deceased Gemini serial killer, leads him to question the patients of a psychiatric ward.” Skeleton Key (2005) This horror-filled film stars Kate Hudson as a hospice nurse working at a spooky New Orleans plantation home who finds herself entangled in a mystery involving the house’s dark past. Where to watch: Starz,
