Body-Horror 'Mutter: The Diary of a Mother' Teases a Monstrous Tribeca Premiere

Body-Horror ‘Mutter: The Diary of a Mother’ Teases a Monstrous Tribeca Premiere

Let’s be real: pregnancy is already a biological body-horror movie. When cinema actually leans into that primal anxiety—think Rosemary’s Baby, It’s Alive, or Prevenge—the results are usually magnificent. Now, a new contender is entering the nursery, and it looks like an absolute doozy. The official teaser for the Turkish horror feature Mutter: The Diary of a Mother has dropped. And it is safe to say this kid won’t be making it into any Gerber commercials. The film will celebrate its World Premiere on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the AMC 19th St. East 6 in the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival’s “Escape from Tribeca“ lineup. A Mother’s Love Knows No Bounds (or Species) Written and directed by filmmaker Alphan Eşeli, Mutter takes the phrase “unconditional love” to a deeply disturbing extreme. Under incredibly traumatic circumstances, a young woman named Gül gives birth to her very first child. The catch? The newborn is an entirely inhuman, grotesque, alien-like creature. But because a

Ultra-Violence Goes Global: ‘The Last Temptation of Becky’ Set for World Premiere at Fantasia

Everyone’s favorite knit-cap-wearing, blood-soaked antihero is trading her woodland survival gear for a passport and a badge. KWPR has officially announced that The Last Temptation of Becky will celebrate its highly anticipated World Premiere at the 2026 Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal this summer. This third installment of the cult-favorite franchise—which kicked off with 2020’s Becky and continued with 2023’s The Wrath of Becky—is ready to raise the body count to international heights. And yes, the plot is exactly the kind of unhinged, dark-comedy genius we’ve come to expect from the series. The Mission: Infiltrating the Fourth Reich When we last left Becky (Lulu Wilson), she was a heavily traumatized teen. She had spent years annihilating home invaders and domestic terrorists with everything from colored pencils to lawnmowers. Now she’s grown up and officially signed on as a CIA field agent. Managed by her handler (played by genre royalty Kate Siegel), Becky is sent deep undercover to Poland. Her

Shhh! John Krasinski Officially Starts Production on ‘A Quiet Place Part III’

Break out the sign language and tread lightly: John Krasinski is back in the director’s chair. The man who turned “shutting up” into a billion-dollar business took to Instagram to reveal that filming is officially underway for the third mainline installment of the silent saga. The Gang’s All Here (Mostly) While the plot is being guarded more closely than a survivor’s floor plan, we do know who made the cut for the threequel. The Abbott family survivors and their weary allies are returning to face whatever noise-hating terrors Krasinski has cooked up. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe are all back. Cillian Murphy, whose Peaky Blinders movie was just released, joined the fray in Part II and is officially returning to help hold down the fort. There’s some new blood joining the battle. Jack O’Connell (Sinners), Jason Clarke (Terminator Genisys), and Katy O’Brien (Love Lies Bleeding) join the fight. A Franchise That Speaks Volumes For a series where the

'Directive 8020' is a new twist on the Dark Pictures' series

‘Directive 8020′ is a new twist on the Dark Pictures’ series

Ever since the post-credits teaser at the end of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, fans of the series, myself included, were interested to see how the game’s series will look as its latest instalment, Directive 8020, will take the series to the stars. I want to thank Supermassive Games for allowing me the opportunity to check out their latest in terror! Directive 8020 takes place on the ship Cassiopeia, which is heading towards Tau Ceti f, an Earth-like planet that humanity hopes to colonize as Earth is dying. The mission goes sideways when and extraterestrial lifeform, and one of the crew members, jeopardizes the mission. Now, onto the game itself! Returning players to the series will have to take a moment, as the controls have slightly changed, and the gameplay is a lot different and requires new mechanics now. Don’t let this deter you, as the controls are not that difficult to learn. In true Dark Pictures’

Movie Review: Saurians (1994) - Visual Vengeance Blu-ray

Movie Review: Saurians (1994) – Visual Vengeance Blu-ray

A construction company blasts a massive hole in the side of a stone quarry which has exactly two results; 1. The air fills with the smell of the Earth’s farts, and 2. Dinosaurs are awakened from deep underground and decide to go on a crazed rampage… and the two things are related! Springing from the creative tar pits of Writer/Director/star Mark Polonia (Cocaine Werewolf… and many, many more), Saurians asks the eternal question of what if Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr.’s Dinosaurs! was relocated to rural Pennsylvania… honestly, we’ve asked more bizarre questions ‘round here… Anyway, produced on a shoe-string and shot on 8MM, Polonia’s film is long on charm and short on technical expertise… which always equals a good time when parking your arcane ass around the ol’ terror tube. Adding to the whole affair are a couple of fun, hand crafted dinosaurs (which appear as various (and differing) puppets and larger props) that, while lacking the deft touch of

Does 'Kraken' Sink or Swim: A Spoiler Free Review

Dive into the New Trailer for Kraken!

Norway has already mastered the art of the mountain troll and the tunnel collapse; now, it’s coming for the coastline. Kraken, the latest creature feature from the land of the midnight sun, has just dropped its first trailer, proving that some legends are better left at the bottom of a fjord. Something Fishy in the Fjord The trouble starts with the salmon. When wild salmon begin exhibiting “unnatural behavior”—which, in horror movie terms, is the universal signal to move inland—inexplicable deaths begin piling up in Norway’s deepest fjord. The culprit? An ancient, multi-armed nightmare that has decided its centuries-long nap is officially over. This isn’t just a giant squid; it’s a sentient, crushing machine that reacts to movement and sound. If you breathe too loudly, you’re sushi. The Creative Team behind the Chaos Director Pål Øie, who mastered the art of claustrophobia with The Tunnel, shifts his focus from suffocating concrete to the crushing pressure of the abyss. The script

Chillian Phycological Horror ‘A Yard of Jackals’ Is Out Now

In Pinochet’s Chile, silence isn’t just a virtue; it’s a survival tactic.A Yard of Jackals is a claustrophobic masterclass in psychological dread, proving that the most terrifying thing about a dictatorship isn’t just the man at the top—it’s the man living in the apartment next door. The Story: Set during the biting winter of 1978 in Santiago, the film follows Raúl Peralta (Néstor Cantillana). He’s a disabled architectural model maker who builds tiny, perfect worlds to escape a crumbling reality. Raúl’s life is a study in isolation. He cares for his ailing mother, talks to his canary, and keeps his head down. However, his carefully scaled life begins to fracture when new neighbors move in. Their “extracurricular” activities are less about neighborhood potlucks and more about the sinister machinery of the regime. Enter Guillermo, a mysterious man in dark glasses. He drags Raúl from his miniature sanctuary into a nightmare of surveillance, moral rot, and political terror. It’s a film
