One such tribe, The Varosha, are now preparing for the emergence of their new leader, and the elders of their tribe have chosen three candidates from this new generation. The chosen three must journey out with the current tribal leader to face harrowing trials that will prove the worthiness of each candidate. Everything We Know So Far About The IT Remake!

“They all float down here” Although I wasn’t born when the original IT hit theaters, I mostly definitely grew up in horror movie loving family so word got around. The new Pennywise when first talked up seemed to me like a great idea but frankly I was skeptical on how the character was going to look (I even went as far as too try and find out before the reveal!). We recently reported Pennywise’s new look and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I like how they didn’t try to make a new actor walk in the footsteps of Tim Curry, by letting the costume be totally different. Thumbs up IT 2017…so far. [Related: Take a Walk Through Derry With a These New Shots From The IT Remake] But here’s something of interest: As of recently the Duffer Brothers (behind Netflix’s Stranger Things) revealed at one point they wanted to make the flick and Producer on the flick Dan

[Recap/Review] SCREAM’ Season 2 Finale Revealed Ghost-Face & Cliffhanger

Scream’s Tuesday night season 2 finale brought SCREAM fans from all over to witness the un-masking of MTV’s Ghost-Face. The season 2 finale managed to homage Kevin Williamson’s SCREAM 1, 2 and 4 (he wrote some of it) and leave fans still clamoring for a season 3 (which is yet to be announced). If you stood tuned for my recaps (which some were equipped with reviews) you’d know I have been pointing my finger at Eli towards the end of the season right before the big un-masking which turned out to be [SPOILER ALERT] Keiran. What had fans still pondering as to if this was it, for SCREAM. Letting us know it wasn’t, Keiran got a phone call in prison by who claimed to be the resurrected Brandon James (the Killer everybody was copycatting, who was involved with the Lakewood massacre 20 years prior). Season 3 is still up in the air. Ratings have been not as great as I

Ode to 80’s Horror: Re-Animator

Horror has never lacked for mad scientist tales, and the 80’s was no exception. One of the greatest and most classic of these 80’s tales is Re-Animator. Re-Animator is a good old-fashioned horror film. It has mad scientists, dead bodies coming to life, black cats, etc. It’s fun, it’s scary, and it’s completely deserving of this #Odeto80sHorror. WHERE IT CAME FROM: Because of it’s extremely classic themes and elements of Cosmic Horror it’s not surprising that Re-Animator is loosely based of a H.P. Lovecraft story: Herbert West – Reanimator. Stuart Gordon (of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids fame, for all you millennials) co-wrote and directed this 1985 adaptation, produced for an estimated budget of about $900,000. WHY WE LOVE IT: This movie is FUN. If you’re into horror, this movie is a theme park. It’s tone, dialogue, and special effects all reach for you to have a ton of fun watching it- and it doesn’t disappoint. Let’s talk special effects

‘IT’ Producer Gives Insight On The Reboot And Casting

The 80’s are back in a big way and filmmakers are capitalizing on it. Remakes and reboots of our favorite horror films and series are being announced left and right, including ‘Friday the 13th‘, ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street‘. Let’s not forget ‘IT’. The reboot is still shrouded in secrecy, but thanks to one of its producers we now know a little more. Back in June we got our first look at Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise in ‘IT’. But fans have been wondering what to expect from the new version. ‘IT’s producer Dan Lin recently gave Collider a few hints during the TCA Summer Presentation. I think a great analogy is actually Stranger Things, and we’re seeing it on Netflix right now,” Lin told Collider. “It’s very much an homage to ’80s movies, whether it’s classic Stephen King or even [Steven] Spielberg. Think about Stand by Me as far as the bonding amongst the kids. But there is a really

New on DVD in the UK is Bastard, starring Tonya Kay (Get Him To The Creek) alongside Rebekah Kennedy (Season Of The Witch) Burt Culver (The Paper Boat), Ellis Greer (A Small Death)” Dan Creed (Dinner Party) and Will Tranfo (The Creation Of Aspen). “Five strangers – newlywed serial killers, a suicidal cop, and two runaways – become suspect and victim when a masked murderer makes its presence known in an isolated mountain town” The film which has been described as a “Truimpth for independent horror” was written by Patrick Robert Young and was directed by Powell Robinson. Both of which are [according to IMDB] a relatively unknown bunch and I frankly applaud them for bringing forth such a critically acclaimed piece. Look for it on iTunes, Amazon or in stores on DVD in the UK. Follow @HMZHorror
