From 1998 to 2006 ‘Charmed’ was one of the hottest series on television. The series, which followed a group of sisters, who happened to be witches, through their daily lives, romances, and battles to keep the innocent safe from dark forces. Confirmation came today that a new “reimagined” version of the show we loved so much is indeed in development at The CW. There’s more, the revamped “Charmed” will not be set in the present day, instead it will take place in 1976, with a ‘Stranger Things’ feel, according to EW. Jessica O’Toole, Jennie Snyder, and Amy Rardin will pen the series. The Best And Worst Horror Films Of 2016

THE BEST OF 2016 We saw a huge number of horror films released in 2016. There were a lot of great films, and a lot of bad ones too. Let’s focus on the good. Here’s our top 10 favorite horror films from 2016. To learn more about the film or to watch the trailer click the film’s highlighted title. 10. Pride & Prejudice & Zombies It was nice to see women in a horror film that can take care of themselves. While a fan of zombies, I think many people have grown tired of the slow, shambling, dumb undead, ‘PPZ’ gave us fast, intelligent zombies with a mission. 9. The Shallows Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and penned by Anthony Jasinski, The Shallows stars Blake Lively as Nancy, a woman surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a Great White and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival,

Netflix’s Mysterious New Series The OA Premieres This Week – Watch The Trailer

Monday, Netflix tweeted a series of strange tweets, “Have you seen death?”, “Have you seen darkness”, and last “Have you seen the light?”. Spooky right? The tweets are part of a social media campaign for their new series ‘The OA’. The newly opened Instagram account has been posting images from the series that leaves its followers with more questions than answers. The trailer has just arrived and it’s pretty creepy, in a good way. It gives off a ‘Stranger Things’ vibe and seems to have a other-worldly aspect. The eight episode series centers on Prairie Jackson (Marling), a woman who reappears seven years after she mysteriously disappeared. Much of the plot is being kept quiet, adding to the 8-episode original series’ myster Zai Batmanglij was in the directors chair for ‘The OA’, which he co-wrote with Brit Marling. Marling (The East) also co-stars in the series along with Ian Alexander, Will Brill (The Eyes of My Mother), Emory Cohen (The

A Recap Of The Walking Dead’s Mid-Season Finale – You May Have Missed Something Important

Well, get ready for Walking Dead withdraw. The first half of the season is over and we have to wait until February for the next episode. Ugh! While most of The Walking Dead’s mid-season finale was a slow-burn, and a couple of characters that really didn’t mean much to us were killed. But there were some really important things that happened, some more important than you may have realized. Love him or hate him, Negan has some serious swagger. I can’t help but love that shit-eating grin he has. Every time he’s about to or has been naughty he smiles like a jackass eating briers, and it’s kind of adorable. He makes things interesting again and he is the one reason this season has been tolerable. Talk about perfect casting, no one could play that bat swinging badass better that Jeffrey Dean Morgan. So, lets look at the finale. More Deaths At The Hands Of Negan Negan did us all

The Pied Piper – An Original Horror Story

One of my favorite stories growing up was a tale that my third grade teacher read to the class called “The Pied Piper of Hamelin.” The story stuck with me and I have often lamented that it is not only fairly unknown (or at least not a prominent fairy tale), but even if it is known, this gem of a tale is censored and bubble-gummed up to have a happy ending. Granted, Mrs. Kratz — my third grade librarian — read us the buttered up version where all the children are retuned happily to their home, but like most fairy tales, the original is far darker. For those who are not familiar with this horribly dark tale, it sprouts from the rat infestations during the black plague epidemic in the 1300s. The small village of Hamelin was overrun with rats and the people were all dying. A brightly dressed stranger with a flute came and offered his services of purging

Cloverfield Sequel Lands New Release Date

Earlier this year, J. J. Abrams surprised fans with a sequel to 2008’s found-footage alien film ‘Cloverfield’, titled ’10 Cloverfield Lane’. The film was a huge success, renewing interest in the franchise for fans. We reported in late October that J.J. Abrams’ third ‘Cloverfield’ film, titled ‘God Particle’, had quietly entered production. Recently, The Wrap caught up with actor David Oyelowo in an attempt to lean more about ‘God Particle’. They did not learn much, but he did reveal the following: “Every single day we were on that set, we were agog with the inventiveness and innovation, between the technology, the story, and the audacity of what we were trying to accomplish. It’s an incredibly exciting and innovative process of storytelling. It’s incredibly surprising.” In the ‘God Particle’ a team of astronauts make a shocking discovery and end up fighting for survival in what is being described as an “altered reality”. David Oyelowo, stars alongside John Krasinski, Daniel Brühl, Gug
