Movie Review: Ten Minutes to Midnight

Office politics have never gotten quite the cinematic workout that they do in director Erik Bloomquist’s Ten Minutes to Midnight. To say that it goes down unexpected paths would be an understatement, and that is just part of the bizarre fun of this well-made shocker. Caroline Williams (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 [1986], Halloween II [2009], and more than three dozen other horror outings) plays Amy Marlowe, a veteran disc jockey whose night starts off with a bat bite during an approaching hurricane on her way to work — and things are only going to get worse for her. She soon finds out that this will be her last night before being forcefully retired by her smarmy, sleazy boss Robert (William Youmans) and replaced by his new, young protégé Sienna (Nicole Kang of Swallow [2019] and the Batwoman TV series). Station security guard Ernie (Nicholas Tucci of The Ranger [2018] and You’re Next [2011]) has locked down the building because

Game Review: ‘Jurassic World Evolution: Return To Jurassic Park’ Takes You Back To 1993

The latest DLC for Frontier Development’s business/theme park simulation Jurassic World Evolution is possibly its biggest yet! The “Return to Jurassic Park” DLC brings back Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum in their iconic roles from the film series and picks up where their first adventure left off. In the game, players return to Isla Nublar to help Drs Grant and Sattler, and Ian Malcolm as they’re helping John Hammond to get control back of the island, repair damaged facilities, and get dinosaurs under control so the park can finally open to the public. The story also includes a young Cabot Finch who is in charge of finances in the main game but in the DLC is Hammond’s intern. The DLC not only has the buildings from 1993 (that can be carried over into the main game) but two new dinosaurs, the Compys and Pterandons, and two new attractions, the self-driving tour jeeps from the first film, and the
