Shyamalan’s Apocalyptic Thriller ‘Knock At the Cabin’ Is Out Now

M. Night Shyamalan’s apocalyptic thriller Knock at the Cabin, an adaptation of The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay, is now on home release. In Knock at the Cabin, “While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. True Crime Inspired Horror ‘Pig Killer’ Coming Soon

Breaking Glass Pictures has snagged the rights to the true crime-inspired horror film Pig Killer starring Jake Busey (“Stranger Things,” Starship Troopers). The film was inspired by the terrifying true story of the serial killer Robert’ Willy’ Pickton (pictured), the pig farmer and prolific lady killer whose horrific crimes shocked the world. Speaking of shocking, Pig Killer is not for the faint of heart. It graphically depicts the rape, torture, slaughter, and dismemberment of forty-nine young women on a pig farm. Netflix has released the first images from their upcoming series titled “Beef,” from A24, starring “The Walking Dead” actor Steven Yeun and Birds of Prey actress Ali Wong. Movie Review: The Long Dark Trail (2022 – Cleopatra Blu-ray)

Things are mega-shitty for two teenage brothers (Brady and Carter O’Donnell) in rural Pennsylvania. How so you may (or may not) ask? Well, their beloved mother has flown the coop, and Daddy Dearest is an abusive dick second to none. It’s that last point that inspires our heroes to beat feet out of the cabin the family calls home, and begin a trek into the wicked woods that surround their abode. As they trek through the verdant forests in search of their mother they begin to realize there is something sinister among the trees and streams… namely a pagan cult that may be worse than the home-based horrors they faced previous! Writer/directors Kevin Ignatius and Nick Psinakis do a lot right with The Long Dark Trail.
