Scream Queen Adrienne Barbeau’s Love Bites Getting Adaption

Director Harrison Smith, who regularly publishes articles on our site, heads the independent film department of Carolco Pictures along with actress Felissa Rose (Sleepaway camp). During the ‘Sleepaway Camp’ panel at the Rock and Shock convention in Massachusetts Rose revealed that she and Smith are working on a movie adaption of the 2010 novel ‘Love Bites’ by Scream Queen Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog,Tales of Halloween). Broke Horror Fan claimed an exclusive saying Rose mentioned that ‘Resident Evil’ actress Milla Javovich is in talks to possibly be the star of the adaption, but Smith would not confirm that when I asked about the statement. Harrison had this to say: “The article on Milla was preemptive and assuming. We have a great director attached and will be announcing. Script will be in the hands of several known actresses, but I’m not confirming Milla. We hope for a January start date.” In the novel, Detective Peter King of the LAPD finds himself caught

Movie Review: Old 37 (2015)

Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween 2007) and Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th VII: The New Blood, The Hatchet Franchise) play the roles of two brother’s who take after their father, a psycho with a taste for blood. The two brothers pose as paramedics and stalk people in need of medical attention on a lonely stretch of highway. A group of teens will face the brothers, but the girl next door puts up a fight to survive like the brothers have never witnessed. Moseley and Hodder star along side Olivia Alexander (Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader), Brandi Cyrus (The Queue), Sascha Knopf (Acts of Violence), Catherine Blades (Cheerleader), Jake Robinson (American Odyssey), Robert Bogue (Lullaby) and Caitlin Harris (The Vampire Secrets) in this high octane horror film. Director Alan Smithee and writers Joe Landes and Paul Travers did a fantastic job creating a one of a kind slasher film. In a time where most film plots are recycled or

AMC To Premier The Preacher Trailer During The Upcoming The Walking Dead Special

On November 1st AMC will air a special 90-minute episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ to celebrate “The Walking Dead Mega Sunday”. During the extended ‘Here’s Not Here’ episode, AMC will premier the trailer for their new series ‘Preacher‘, starring Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter, Dracula Untold). The new series is based on the adaption of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s fantastic comic book by the same name. For those who are not familiar with the comics, let me explain. ‘Preacher’ follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into preaching by his effing insane family. Jesse, after being possessed by Genesis, an entity that is half angel and half demon, sets out to find God. He is accompanied by his ex girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a vampire. The angels, desperate to have Genesis back in his cage, sends “The Killer of Saints” to find him. Graphic Novel co-creator Garth

An Interview With ‘The Originals’ Actor Chase Coleman

I had the opportunity to ask actor-musician Chase Coleman a few quick questions, and of course I couldn’t pass that up. Some of you will recognize him from his reoccurring role as the renegade werewolf, Oliver, from the popular series ‘The Originals’. Chase also played the role of Billy on the show ‘Boardwalk Empire’, but then again Chase has had many roles. You should know, his world is not only about acting, he’s a musician as well and often holds concerts at the conventions he attends. KM “How old were you when you decided you wanted to be an actor ?” CC “Seventeen years old.” KM “What was it like playing your first role in ‘Scarlett’ ?” CC “Mind Blowing :P” KM “In the hit show ‘The Originals’ you play the role of Oliver, a werewolf. Where did you draw your inspiration from?” CC “Enjorlas from Les Miserables” KM “What was your favorite part of being involved with ‘The Originals’?”

Preview: Alterna Comics’ Corktown

Alterna Comics has just announced that a new three issue mini-series called Corktown will debut in the Spring of 2016. The comic was co-created by Mario Candelaria, Scott Ewen, and Dave Ganjamie. Candelaria will serve as the writer. Ewen will do the line work and Ganjamie is providing the tones and shading; as well as, colors for the covers. It is about the ghost of a recently deceased Detroit PD detective who is trying to destroy a blood thirsty killer that happens to be her own reanimated corpse. It was described as “a twist on vampires and ghosts set in the gloriously tragic backdrop of a Detroit winter.” I am already excited about this comic and can’t wait for it to debut. While we wait for Corktown to debut, check out Alterna Comics’ website, Twitter, and Facebook page for more news and comic announcements as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.
