Consumed By Nightmares: An Interview With Integrity’s Dwid Hellion

Integrity is a band that has been crafting malevolent, horror-influenced metallic hardcore for nearly thirty years. As pitch-dark as it is sonically brutal, Integrity’s music has influenced countless hardcore, punk, death/thrash/black metal, and grind/noise acts. The band’s twelfth full-length album, Howling, for the Nightmare Shall Consume is set to be released on Friday, July 14 on Relapse Records, and Horror Fuel was able to speak with Integrity’s frontman, Dwid Hellion, on topics ranging from the release of the new record, to his favorite fright flicks and the horror of the Bible. Horror Fuel: Howling… is the tenth tenth full length from Integrity. How would you compare it to previous releases? Dwid Hellion: I would not compare any of the albums with one another. New Poster Unveils Tiny Terrors From ‘Ghastlies’

From Gremlins and Ghoulies, to Critters, Troll, and The Gate, horror movies focused on gangs of mini-monsters were commonplace throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Unfortunately, little to no output has occurred in the subgenre in the decades since. Thankfully, Camp Motion Pictures plans on answering our prayers for pint-sized creeps with Ghastlies, out on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD this November. In the meantime, check out this new poster, released today on the official Ghastlies Facebook page. Directed by Brett Kelly (Kingdom of the Vampire, Attack of the Giant Leeches [2008]), and written by Chris Bavota (Minutes Past Midnight), Ghastlies is the tale of three ghoulish creatures accidentally unleashed from an underground bunker by four sorority girls while on a weekend getaway in the country. With the pure-eighties tagline “Pure evil. Bite Sized.”, the film (starring Kim Valentine) is set to be a lot of throwback fun.

Social Media Horror Film ‘Devil’s Domain’ Comes To Blu-Ray & DVD

Devil’s Domain, the social media-centered horror film written and directed by Jared Cohn (The Horde, Wishing for a Dream) comes to DVD and Blu-Ray courtesy of Cleopatra Entertainment on Tuesday, July 11. Starring Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Species), Linda Bella (Monsters in the Woods), and Madi Vodane, Devil’s Domain tells the harrowing tale of Lisa (Vodane), a victim of cyber-bullying who, fed up with her tormentors, strikes a deal with with the Devil. The situation escalates as quickly as the film’s body count, with the fate of the entire world resting upon the deal the Devil has made with young Lisa. Rebel Flesh Summon Satanic Seduction In New Music Video

Austin, Texas horror punks Rebel Flesh revel in all things sinister and sexy in the music video for new song, “Shadows”. The song, a sonic midpoint between the impishly playful vibe of punk/power pop heroes the Vibrators and the syrupy-smooth sound of the late 1980s Ramones, is perfectly accompanied by footage of a creepy cutie kneeling in a pentagram, playing with a blood-drenched dagger, and the band plying their craft. Later in the video, the demonic baddie summoned by the seductive Satanist comes a’ calling, and she doesn’t seem too thrilled. What did she think was going to happen? “Shadows” is a breath of fresh air in the overcrowded morgue that is horrorpunk, as is all of the band’s material to date. Now, all we need is a co-headlining world tour with these Texas terrors and Swedish scare-rockers the Dahmers, and all will be right in the world. Watch the new “Shadows” music video below.

Thom Burgess Explores Supernatural Folk Horror In ‘The Eyrie’

From writer Thom Burgess (Malevolents) and illustrator Barney Bodoano comes The Eyrie, a new graphic novella mixing equal parts ghost story and folk horror. As unnerving as it is beautiful, The Eyrie is the tale of Rebecca, an American photojournalist, who while working on location along the coast of Sussex, England, becomes entrenched in the darkness of the local folklore. She encounters the local townsfolk, who are a mostly friendly, if superstitious bunch. The thing is, they have every reason to be. From The Set Of ‘Stan Against Evil’ – A Glimpse At Season 2

The second season of IFC’s fantastic horror series Stan Against Evil is currently filming in Georgia. A few days ago, we had the pleasure of spending a few hours on the set. We not only got to meet several of the incredibly talented actors, but also Dana Gould the show’s creator, who is absolutely hilarious, Robert Cohen who directed four of the eight episodes from season 2, and several members of the special effects team. We also had the honor of exploring the set and watching an episode being filmed. When we first arrived we entered a large black tent with hoses pumping cold air into the structure. Upon entering we were instantly confronted by a a figure covered in a white sheet which was later revealed to be the Wraith from the first season. We shuffled into our chairs and soon Dana Gould and director Robert Cohen appeared. Gould automatically cracked a joke and the room erupted in laughter.

Catch The First Glimpse Of Jim Klock’s ‘6:66 P.M.’ Here

From Full Auto Films and Code 3 Films comes the horror-comedy ‘6:66 P.M.‘ Directed by and starring Jim Klock (‘Scream Queens’), the film follows a group of fraudulent TV ghost chasers as they enter and explore the house of a deceased serial killer, who do their best to pretend the abode is haunted. The problem arises when the crew get much more then they bargained for, as the serial killer’s vengeful spirit begins hunting them! Developed by scriptwriters Chad Ridgely (‘Massacre on Aisle 12’) and Tommy McLaughlin, ‘6:66 P.M.’ also stars Ridgely, Alexis Kelley (‘Hell’s Heart’), and Autumn Federici (‘Haunting of the Innocent’). Netflix Releases Full Trailer For Upcoming ‘DEATH NOTE’ Film

Today, Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for Adam Wingard‘s highly-anticipated adaptation of the beloved Japanese manga, ‘Death Note‘. Premiering on the Netflix streaming service on August 25, 2017, the ghoulish cat-and-mouse tale will star Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, Shea Whigham, Paul Nakauchi, and Willem Dafoe as the wise-cracking death god, “Ryuk”. ‘Death Note’ follows Light Turner, a bright student who stumbles across a mystical notebook that has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it. Light decides to launch a secret crusade to rid the streets of criminals. Soon, the student-turned-vigilante finds himself pursued by a famous detective known only as “L”. ‘Death Note’ is produced by Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Masi Oka and Jason Hoffs. Official Trailer And Poster Unveiled For Terror Films’ ‘Hank Boyd Is Dead’

Today, distributor Terror Films debuts the official trailer, movie poster, and a new clip for the twisted horror-thriller, ‘Hank Boyd is Dead’. Check out the poster below. From writer/director Sean Melia (‘The Administrator’), comes the dark tale, which follows the story of struggling actress Sarah Walsh (portrayed by Stefanie E. Frame, ‘The Darkness II’). As her acting career isn’t exactly white hot, she’s also a caterer, to help pay the bills. She’s alone in tending to the funeral services of Hank Boyd, the town loner, who stood accused of a terrible crime. Though she went to high school with Hank, and thought him harmless, her view of the deceased begins to shift after meeting his eccentric family.
