(Watch) Four Terrifying ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ Creatures Revealed

Last night during the Super Bowl we were introduced to four of the nightmare-inducing monsters in Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark from director André Øvredal. We’ve got all four videos here to share with you, but here’s a piece of advice, don’t watch them in dark, alone. While it is based on the hit children’s books series by Alvin Schwartz, and the film is about kids, it will leave adults sleeping with the lights on. The film centers on a group of teens who must solve the mystery surrounding the sudden and macabre deaths in their small town. Written by Guillermo del Toro, Dan Hageman, and Kevin Hageman, the film stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur, and Natalie Ganzhorn. A “Black Cloud” Hangs Over The ‘Us’ Super Bowl Trailer

The Super Bowl may have some football fans down, but it has horror fans happy as hell. First, we got our first taste of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, now the second trailer for Jordan Peele‘s US has been revealed. The best way to describe it is, dark and disturbing. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o stars as Adelaide Wilson, a woman returning to her beachside childhood home for a getaway along with her husband, Gabe (Winston Duke) and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex). Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. Two Super Bowl Spots Tease The Villians Of ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’

One of the best things about the Super Bowl isn’t the football, it’s the commercials, TV spots, and trailer unveiled during the big game. Two of the TV spots this year belongs to the Guillermo del Toro-produced film adaptation of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, based on the best selling children’s book series of the same name. In the first two teaser videos, we get our first real look at two of the villains of the film and they are nightmare inducing. This is gonna be good! Written by Dan Hageman, and Kevin Hageman, the film stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur, and Natalie Ganzhorn. Stevn Spielberg Produced Haunted House Movie ‘The Turning’ Delayed

Originally set to be released this year, the Steven Spielberg-produced horror thriller The Turning has been delayed until 2020. Universal has now scheduled the adaptation of The Turn of the Screw to arrive on January 24, 2020. Finn Wolfhard, Mackenzie Davis, and Brooklynn Prince lead the cast for the film that follows a young woman hired as the nanny to two orphans who are convinced that the country mansion they live in is haunted. Floria Sigismondi directed the film with Jade Bartlett penning the latest version of the script by Chad and Carey Hayes (The Conjuring 2). Scott Bernstein and Roy Lee are producing. Stephen Spielberg is serving as executive producer for The Turning.

‘Upgrade’ Director To Remake ‘Escape From New York’

Genre fans should be very familiar with filmmaker Leigh Whannell, who is behind the Insidious franchise, Saw and Upgrade. He continues to add to his long list of horror hits. Not only was it just announced that Whannell will be in the director’s chair for Universal’s reboot of The Invisible Man, we’ve just learned that he will also be directing the remake of John Carpenter’s classic Escape from New York. THR is reporting that while no deal is in place at the moment their sources are saying he’s the one. “Whannell is kickstarting Escape from New York with a new vision for the project that sources say will retain elements of the original but bring new ideas to the table. RZA And Ghostface Killah’s Horror Movie ‘Angel Of Dust’ Features A New Wu-Tang Soundtrack

Wu-Tang’s Ghostface Killah and RZA, along with Shaun Redick of Impossible Dream Entertainment are set to produce the suspense horror thriller Angel of Dust, which RZA will direct. The film is inspired by true stories and events that happened to Wu-Tang members while growing up in the streets of Staten Island which helped shape the legendary group into the global music icons they have become. In the film, “Casey is a normal yet exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper but after the mysterious death of his parents, he’s been forced to grow up in NY’s roughest inner-city streets (known as Shaolin in Wu-Tang folklore), basically on his own.
