Leatherface, Norman Bates And Buffalo Bill, All Inspired By One Man And This Is His Story

WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT AND IMAGES ! Three of the most recognized characters from classic horror films are Leatherface, Buffalo Bill and Norman Bates. All three are based on the true story of one killer, Ed Gein. Of course, several other films and series have taken inspiration from the Gein story, including Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, and “Bloody Face” from American Horror Story. He also had several films made in his own name. But how much do you really know about Gein? Let me fill you in. Edward Theodore Gein, born August 27, 1906, was a sheltered boy overly attached to his abusive mother. His over-religious mother, Augusta, was determined to keep Gein and his brother isolated as much as possible, believing there was evil everywhere you turned in the world. She was so obsessed with sin that she once poured boiling water over Gein’s privates when she caught him touching himself. Gein’s father, a

A Look At The Story Of H. H. Holmes America’s First Serial Killer On The Anniversary Of Death

Today (May 7) marks the anniversary of the death of America’s first and most prolific serial killer, Henry H. Holmes. Born on May 16, 1861, as Herman Webster Mudgett, H. H. Holmes built a grand hotel, often referred to as “The Murder Castle”, which operated during the World’s Fair, a hotel built with murder in mind. Holmes’ “Murder Castle” had hidden body shoots, and rooms that appeared normal, but were actually gas chambers. There was even a crematorium built into the basement so that he could dispose of bodies and evidence. Holmes would also kill guests, clean and bleach their bones, then sell their skeletons to medical schools and doctors. When police began to investigate the missing people, last seen checking into the hotel, Holmes fled. The hotel was then burned to the ground thanks to an unknown arsonist. Holmes was captured in 1895 and soon confessed to killing 27. However, officials believed that the real body count was actually

The real estate company Howard Hanna is renting out the three-bedroom house, 25 miles south of Cleveland, for a whooping $8,000 for the week. Dahmer, known as “The Milkwaukee Cannibal”, committed his first kill in the home. He was only 18 when he murdered a hitchhiker and disposed of the body in the woods behind the house. Dahmer went on to kill 16 more men and boys. He was a sex offender, a cannibal and a necrophiliac. He often drilled holes in many of his later victims, then poured acid and other chemicals in to their heads in hopes of creating the perfect zombie. An Upcoming Film Will Tell The True Story Of The Cannibal Killer Kathrine Knight

A new true-crime film from Shoreline Entertainment is currently in development about Katherine Knight, known as Australia’s worst female killer. The film is an adaption of the book Blood Stain, about Knight’s crime, by journalist and author Peter Lalor. She may not look like your average killer, but looks can be deceiving. On February 30, 2000 Kathrine Knight made headlines around the world. Knight murdered her boyfriend of 5 years, John Price, by stabbing him 37 times, but that’s not the worst of it. After he died, she hung his body on a hook. She then made a skin “suit” from his flesh, and cut-off his head. The disturbing event still does not end there. When police found the scene, they found Price’s head bobbing in a cooking pot on the stove with potatoes, gravy and vegetables. The dinner table was set, complete with place cards for Price’s 3 children, she intended to serve them their father with a side

The Killer Net by Matthew W. Grant

The Killer Net by Matthew W. Grant is the second audio book I’ve had the pleasure of listening to by author Matthew W. Grant, and it certainly won’t be the last. This story was incredibly unique because it combined a very realistic, modern fear with the eve of the new millennium. It took me back to a time when AOL instant messenger was the primary means of communicating online, and when meeting someone via the internet was a very new, and very scary, possibility. (It threw me off when someone snapped closed their cell phone in anger. Oh to return to the days of the flip phone…) Book Description: Ten little girls sat at their computers Wondering who they’d find on line One entered a chat room with a killer And then there were nine. . . On the eve of the new millennium, thousands of people logged on to the Internet for the first time every day. Some were

Face Book: A Gripping Serial Killer Thriller by Paul Johnson-Jovanovic

Face Book: A Gripping Serial Killer Thriller by PJ Jovanovic or Paul Johnson-Jovanovic caught my eye because for a short while I was on a serial killer spree. I’ve now added The Killer Net by Matthew W. Grant to my reading list, so evidently I’m on a bit of a “serial killers utilizing social media” kick. (Better than the Hell/Occult spree I’ve been on for the last few weeks! …and oddly more specific.) Book Description: A cast iron guarantee: you’ve never read anything like this. This novel is pedal to the floor, from start to finish. No lulls. To say that this novel is a page-turner is an understatement. Strap yourself in for a hell of a ride. Justice is about to be served and it’s going to chill you to your soul. This is what happens when social media goes wrong … Down on his luck, Jack Williams heads for the pub to get drunk. He’s lost his job,
