Odds are you’ve seen at least one of the movies from the ‘Blade’ movies, we all have. I’m not ashamed to admit that I think that Wesley Snipes made a great vampire killing badass. To be honest, I like the ‘Blade’ franchise a lot. When I read that Snipes told Deadline during an interview that he has been talking with Marvel, who purchased the rights to ‘Blade’ , several years ago, about his role. That’s right, Blade may be coming back!
“[Blade 4] is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting a we discussed a number of things. I don’t know where it is on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air.” Snipes made the comment in reference to his meeting with Marvel about returning to his role as Blade. He also stated that entering the Marvel universe in another way “…is possible too.”
As a fan of the franchise I would not mind seeing this happen. Of course I would not complain if Blade returned in it’s own series like Daredevil. I am not referring to the ‘Blade’ series that ran in 2006, which stared “Sticky Fingaz”. In my eyes Snipes will always be the Blade. Hopefully Marvel will decide to continue ‘Blade’ with Snipes as the vampire ass kicking vigilante we know and love.
