A new clip has arrived for Cell, directed by Tod “Kip” Williams (Paranormal Activity 2). In Cell an electronic signal affects all those who hear it, turning people into violent killers.
“When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (John Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners”.”
John Cusack stars as Clay. Samuel L. Jackson , Stacy Keach, Isabelle Furman, Owen Teague, Joshua Mikel and Alexter Avest , with a cameo by Lloyd Kaufman. Adam Alleca penned the screenplay for Cell, an adaption of Stephen King’s novel by the same name. Cell will first arrive on VOD on June 10th, followed by its release in theaters nationwide on July 8th.
In the new clip, released today, we witness Clay in a train station as he watches the crowd fall and the signal trigger the change in those using their electronic devices.
