Disney Studios announced their summer 2022 release slate. One of the upcoming films is the new Predator prequel, simply titled Prey, set 300 years in the past. The movie pits a female Comanche warrior is pit against a predator.
Written by Patrick Aison (Kingdom, Jack Ryan), Prey, is being directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“The Boys,” 10 Cloverfield Lane) and stars indigenous actress Amber Midthunder as the Comanche warrior, Naru who fights to protect her people from a Predator.
Prey was inspired by the fan film Warrior Predator, from writer-director Chris Notarile of Blinky Productions. Watch the seven-minute fan film below. Prey debuts in the summer of 2022. We’ll keep you posted.
