The Final Destination franchise is known for its creative kills that fans just can’t enough of. Well, we’ve got great news! Final Destination 6 has finally found its home and will premiere exclusively on HBO Max!

The film has been in development since 2019 and is finally heading your way from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts who will be producing for New Line Cinema along with franchise producers Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor.

In the sixth film, “as a group of first responders escapes death’s grasp, they start to be killed by increasingly unlikely and killer mishaps.”

The screenplay is being written by Lori Taylor and Guy Busick, who also wrote the new Scream movie and 2019’s Ready or Not.

Both Dianne and I have been massive fans of Final Destination from the begining. So to be able to have a hand in crafting a new story with the original team and New Line is going to be both fun and exciting. Watts said in a statement.

There’s no word yet when the movie will premiere or who will star, but we can’t wait to see it!

It’s been over twenty years since the original film was released and it’s been over a decade since fans got the last installment of the franchise that followed a group of people who escaped a bridge collapse, only to meet brutal ends one by one. Here’s a look back at the trailer for Final Destination 5.

We’ll keep you posted.
