Prime Video has just unveiled the first-look trailer and announced the premiere date for their upcoming thriller series adaptation of “Harlan Coben’s Shelter” from New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben, which marks Coben’s first collaboration with the streaming giant.

Harlan Coben’s Shelter” centers on  Mickey Bolitar following the sudden death of his father, which leads him to start a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey. With the help of his friends, the inventive Spoon and the secretive Ema., Mickey pulls back the sleepy facade of Kasselton to reveal a dark underground that may hold the answers to decades of disappearances, deaths, legends, and perhaps even his own dark family history.

The series stars Jaden Michael as Mickey Bolitar, Constance Zimmer as Shira Bolitar, Adrian Greensmith as Arthur “Spoon” Spindell, Abby Corrigan as Ema Winslow, Sage Linder as Rachel Caldwell, Tovah Feldshuh as “Bat Lady,” and Brian Altemus as Troy.

Coben and Allen MacDonald serve as both showrunners and executive producers. Edward Ornelas and Erik Barmack also executive produce along with Patricia Cardoso, who is also directing. Charlotte Coben is producing.

The first three episodes of the eight-episode series will premiere globally on August 18, 2023,  exclusively on Prime Video, with new episodes available each Friday.
