Breaking Glass Pictures will soon unleash the true-crime horror-thriller Pig Killer, a spine-chilling and thought-provoking film written and directed by Chad Ferrin (Night Caller).

The film is set to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative based on the horrifying true story of Robert’ Willy’ Pickton, played by Jake Busey (Starship Troopers), the infamous pig farmer whose sinister crimes sent shockwaves through the world.

The film takes audiences on an unflinching journey into the darkest recesses of human depravity, as it graphically depicts Pickton’s felonious farmhouse, a chamber of rape, torture, slaughter, and dismemberment of almost fifty women. With his enigmatic companion, a herculean hog named Balthazar, by his side, Willy and his menacing ensemble of colorful cohorts held Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in a grip of terror for nearly two decades until his arrest in 2002 brought to light one of the most twisted series of murders Canada has ever seen.

Jake Busey stars alongside Bai Ling (The Crow), Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Ginger Lynn Allen (The Devil’s Rejects), Michael Pare (The Lincoln Lawyer), James Russo (Open Range), Cyril O’Reilly (NightMan), Susan Priver (Night Caller), Kurt Bonzel (Parasites), John Budinoff (Transamerica), Silvia Spross (Night Caller) and introducing Kate Patel.

Pig Killer is a compelling cinematic experience that fearlessly confronts the shocking reality of one man’s unspeakable actions, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats. The film delves deep into the psyche of a prolific ladykiller and brings to light the horrifying events that shook the world.

The True Story:

Born in 1949, Robert Pickton began his reign of terror in the 1980s after inheriting the family pig farm. He would rape and murder his victims before chopping them up and feeding them to his pigs, sometimes eating the meat himself and serving it to unsuspecting visitors. He and his brother often held parties at the farm, which they registered as part of a charity in 1996 under the name “Piggy Palace Good Times Society.” The parties and events attracted up to 2,000 people at a time, making it easy for Pickton to make his victims disappear.

Not realizing that the farm was being watched, law officers raided the farm on February 6, 2022. Robert was charged with two murders. By the time he saw a courtroom, his charges were up to twenty-seven counts of murder after police found bone segments, a freezer full of human flesh, and the victims’ personal items. He confessed to his cellmate, not knowing the man was an undercover cop, that he had killed 49. On December 9, 2007, the jury returned a verdict of life in prison with no chance of parole.

Pig Killer slashes its way onto streaming platforms on November 21, 2023. Viewers are advised to brace themselves for an unforgettable and haunting experience. For more information about Pig Killer and Breaking Glass Pictures, please visit www.breakingglasspictures.com.
