We all despise those scam/spam calls that never seem to end. A new horror film, Death Dial, sees a woman hell-bent on revenge against those callers, and who could blame her? We get it.

A seemingly innocuous phone scam sets the stage for terror in the upcoming Thai horror film Death Dial, whose first-look image has now arrived.

Sanya Kunakorn (How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies) and Penpak Sirikul (Home for Rent) will star in Death Dial, which Night Edge Pictures will present at the European Film Market, according to Deadline.

Death Dial draws inspiration from real-life incidents of call center gangs preying on vulnerable individuals. The film tells the story of Chaba (Sirikul), an older woman who can communicate with the spirit world. She seeks vengeance against a call center gang that victimized her brother and niece. A simple scam call ignites a supernatural quest for revenge as Chaba tracks down the criminal organization operating the scam.

Hans Audric Estialbo, CEO of Night Edge Pictures, shared his vision for the film. “Death Dial is a powerful horror film,” he said. “It also tells a relatable story. This is an ongoing crisis everyone faces, especially in Asia. Chaba is a character everyone will root for.” The film promises to blend the chilling elements of horror with a narrative that resonates with contemporary issues. The combination of real-world crime and supernatural retribution offers a unique and compelling premise.

Napas Taleangcapun will direct the film, which is expected to be released sometime in 2026. In the meantime, if you’re looking for more revenge movies, we’ve got you covered. You can find them here.
