Paramount+ released the official trailer today for the all-new psychological horror thriller Apartment 7A. Set in 1965 New York City, the film tells the story that came before the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby.
Apartment 7A will debut at this year’s Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. This fright-filled film will then be featured in Paramount+ Peak Screaming, a collection of fan-favorite horror movies and Halloween episodes.
Directed by the filmmaker behind Relic, Natalie Erika James, the film centers on young dancer Terry Gionoffrio, played by Golden Globe winner Julia Garner (Ozark). Terry dreams of fame and fortune in New York City. After suffering a devastating injury, an older couple (Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally) welcomes her into the apartment building. But when fellow resident and Broadway producer (Jim Sturges) offers her another chance at fame, all her dreams seem to be coming true. However, after an evening she can’t remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A but also in the Bramford itself.
Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean), and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka) round out the cast.
The film is a Paramount+ original movie made with Paramount Pictures. It is a Platinum Dunes/Sunday Night Production based on the novel Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin. Natalie Erika and James Christian White. Skylar James penned the script for the film executive produced by Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg. John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, p.g.a., Michael Bay, Andrew Form, p.g.a., and Brad Fuller producers.
Apartment 7A will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ on Friday, September 27. The film will also be available for purchase on digital the same day.
