Cineverse is preparing to unleash an exciting new indie horror-comedy for home audiences this fall. Titled Dead Giveaway, the wildly entertaining film debuts across video-on-demand platforms this November. The project previously made its official world premiere at the prestigious Philadelphia Film Festival to widespread critical acclaim.

Award-Winning Lead Performances

The story centers on the chaotic dynamic between two fiercely loyal best friends, Jill and Lia. Actress Ruby Modine leads the cast following her breakout roles in Silent Night, Deadly Night, and Happy Death Day. Furthermore, actress Mikaela Hoover co-stars alongside her after notable appearances in Superman. Their undeniable screen presence earned Modine and Hoover the coveted Best Chemistry award during the festival circuit.

A Powerhouse Horror Ensemble

Genre icon Scout Taylor-Compton, who is gearing up to direct Survive: the Game,  rounds out the impressive starring cast for the new horror release. Renowned for her lead role as Laurie Strode in the Halloween franchise, Taylor-Compton brings major credibility. The supporting ensemble also includes seasoned performers Suzann Toni Petrongolo and Andrew Vogel in pivotal roles.

Acclaimed Independent Filmmaking

Writer and director Ian Kimble helmed the production, aiming to craft a fast-paced, entertaining narrative. Critics widely praised Kimble’s sharp direction alongside the stunning visual storytelling of cinematographer Anthony Berenato Jr. The core creative team also previously collaborated on the acclaimed indie film Herman before mounting this project.
