DVD Review: Ghost Killers vs Bloody Mary (2018)

The local school principal is eager to end the rumors that accidents that have befallen the student body as of late are the result of supernatural static comin’ straight from everybody’s fav monstrous mirror maiden; Bloody Mary! To that end he hires The Ghoulbusters (yes, they are called out on the name and their eerily similar logo); a squad of local ghost hunters (who fake all of their encounters ‘natch) hoping to score a shit-hot TV deal… and let’s not beat around the bush; these folks are pretty inept… some downright stupid in fact. Anyway, our faux-heroes totally release that dread dame from her looking-glass prison and soon she engages in a bloodbath the ‘busters’ are ill-equipped to handle! Will they survive the night and end Mary’s revoltin’ reign or will they end up the next pile of gory goo splattered all over the halls of that insane institution?!! Blu-ray Review: Deadly Manor (1990)

A group of friends are ramblin’ down the road down upstate New York way pick up a hitchhiker cum Lorenzo Lamas circa Renegade mother fucker named Jack, who in truth is an escaped convict. Anyway, this gang of goofs end up making a pit stop at a dilapidated mansion (which comes complete with it’s own sacrificial alter for cars and countless photos of a beautiful nude woman… as is so often the case). Anyway, after some debate, our heroes head inside and spend a restful night, then continue on to their destination where fun is had. Of course, the fucking with you has been well and truly had. In truth, these folks get offed one by one (hell, one lady doesn’t even make it through the front door) and someone or thing won’t rest until every living sole in that damned domicile are dead as doornails! Comprised of a more likable cast of characters than most stalk n’ slay affairs

Movie Review: Alien Outbreak (2020)

Police Sergeant Zoe Norris (Katherine Drake) is having a rather shit day on the job what with the lunatics, suicides, and alien invasions. This is why I don’t do Mondays, amirite fam? Any fuckin’ how, those pesky aliens and their robot pals are turning the town into a petri dish to test out some wacky-ass space virus that makes anyone infected go bathsit and off themselves right quick! soon Norris and a rag-tag group of survivors hole up in the ol’ police station and attempt to make it through the outre ordeal, but of course that will prove mega difficult… so all hail our new alien overlords I guess?!! DVD Review: Little Joe (2019)

Alice (Emily Beecham) toils away breeding plants packed full of good ol’ genetic engineering that her company hopes to sell for a tidy profit along with her co-worker Chris (Ben Wishlaw). One of their major finds is a plant that releases a scent that stimulates happiness in people’s brains. I’m sure nothing wrong will happen involving that experiment… Something goes wrong with that experiment, and soon the plant, dubbed ‘Little Joe’, subtly changes everyone that breathes it’s pollen so that they are happy as clams as intended, but they give zero shits about the outside world and anyone not under Joe’s sway. Will anyone escape the assimilation to happy town, or will the world become strung out on that sweet, sweet Joe? Little Joe is one odd lil’ flick boils n’ ghouls! A woman (Jamie Morgan) brings home a box of cursed items she picked up in front of that infamous residence down Long Island way, promptly gets possessed, and offs her entire family, DeFeo style. Flash forward, and our heroine is incarcerated and forced to participate in a felonious fight club with a fellow inmate (Danielle Donahue) which goes over like fart in a submarine, and the duo are shipped off to a private island containing bears, sharks, and mutant zombies, as they so often do, right cats n’ creeps? Anyhow, on said island, a small team of scientists are conducting all manner of eerie experiments and at the center of it all is our friendly neighborhood Psycho Mom, who’s inner demon can leap out and posses the local fauna (including a shark ‘natch) and populace… so you know things are going to go to hell (for some it could be literally) as science and the supernatural clash on the island

Movie Review: Juvenile Delinquents (2020)

Pedo ass-hat Frank (Jay Amari) gets him self unintentionally murder-ized by a gaggle of juvenile delinquents that come to the rescue of his latest victim Sarah (Corynn Treadwell). Given their past, these dudes are none to anxious to dial ol’ 911, so they get the shit-hot idea to torch Frank’s pad… but his wife Molly (Marie Smalley) arrives home just as the demented deed is about to go down, and finds herself a hostage as these killer kids, and their friends whom soon join them, decide their next step! As is the way, further static ensues, and the group, once splintered, grows stronger… but will their bond be enough to see them through this patch of dark waters? To clear the air a bit; Juvenile Delinquents would fall more on the drama side of the equation if one is trying to slap a label on it… but at it’s core this circles the exploitation/action side of things rather firmly. The long and short of Space goes as follows: in the future year 2050, things ain’t fuckin’ nifty for Dr. Ada Gray (Lara Jean Sullivan) and her comrades aboard The Udo. You see, after one of your outer space accidents, which are a lot like normal accidents, just with the outer space part ramped-up considerably, these folks find themselves involved in a fight for survival leaves them stranded out in the middle of nowhere, your galaxy, U.S. of A. Seems like a simple premise, and for the most part it is, but man does this flick do a ton of things right! Let’s start with the cast, all of whom are pretty solid performers, but the stand-out for your’s cruelly was the aforementioned Lara Jean Sullivan who carries the picture with an engaging performance that adds a ton of heart and soul to a picture that has plenty to spare! Movie Review: Agramon’s Gate (2019)

Richie (Kris Reilly) and Cassidy’s (Kaiti Wallen) are having a lil’ shindig, and they’ve had the seemingly shit-hot idea of hiring a psychic named Vesna (Aphrodite Nikolovski) to tickle the ol’ preternatural pickle and hopefully conjure up some grins. Well ol’ V-dawg suggests the group have themselves a lil’ seance action, which leaves Rich a tad lukewarm, seeing as how he’s a skeptical bastard at heart. In the middle of one of them there zombie apocalypses (a more common occurrence than one would believe if our beloved horror biz is to be believed), a rag-tag group of survivors who’s ranks include, but are not limited to: a dude lookin’ straight out of the ’70s, a woman who continuously shoves people’s faces into her breasts, a rather fab zombie exterminator, and a school girl with a baseball bat. The long and the short of it is, these misfits have to band together and form a fighting force capable of withstanding this horrific outbreak of living dead… so, there probably as good as fucked… Make no mistake, Zombie Rampage 2 is an ultra-low budget affair, so you can take any expectations of Hollywood gloss, put in a box, and shove it right up your arcane ass. Now, as you lot know; that is aces with yours cruelly, and what this fright flick lacks in polish it makes up

Emma (Margherita Remotti), a right genius on the subject of witches and female suppression, arrives from America in Italy to investigate the story of a herbalist named Shanda (Marcella Braga) who got herself a case of the murders when she tried to stop a plague back in Ye Olden Times… that’s fuckin’ gratitude for your ass, eh boils n’ ghouls? So Emma, along with local guide Giulia (Claudia Marasca), and journalist Daniel (Diego Runco) begin the trek to Shanda’s ol’ stompin’ grounds… well they try anyway, as Emma keeps dreaming they are murdered and then the day begins again like a ghoulish Groundhog Day scenario!
