The Trailer For Ti West's 'X' Prequel 'Pearl' Is Filled With "Terrible, Awful Things"

The Trailer For Ti West’s ‘X’ Prequel ‘Pearl’ Is Filled With “Terrible, Awful Things”

Ti West‘s erotic horror X was a hit with horror fans. To our surprise, West has been secretly working on an upcoming prequel titled Pearl. And the trailer has just arrived from A24, featuring “terrible, awful things” and a young woman desperate for fame. Mia Goth, who played both the final girl and the old woman, Pearl, returns to reprise her role for the film A24 describes as “the X-traordinary origin story” of the character first seen in X. The film is set in 1918, decades before the 1970s-set X, in which Maxine kills Pearl along with her husband Howard after the elderly couple brutally slayed Maxine’s friends in X. West has teased that the world of X will continue to expand, making it a trilogy, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed at this point. West told Bloody Disgusting earlier this year, “Part of the idea of this movie that’s cool to me is that there is a bigger thing

Sink Your Teeth Into The First Images From The “Let The Right One In” Series

Showtime’s series adaptation of Let the Right One In is picking up momentum. Based on the iconic 2004 novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist, Away‘s Andrew Hinderaker is bringing the epic vampire tale to TV. EW has just shared the first images from the series via Instagram. Set in New York City, the series stars Demián Bichir, Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, and Nick Stahl. Stahl stars as Matthew in Let the Right One In, as “a former soldier and fiercely loyal fixer for the Logan family, whose clean-cut, mild-mannered exterior belies a savagery beneath.” The [original] film is about a relationship between an isolated bullied boy and an isolated lonely girl, who we learn is a vampire. What I found so compelling about that film is there’s a much smaller relationship between the vampire and [her] adult caretaker. I really used the film as inspiration for a story that

We're Getting Two "Tree House Of Horrors" This Year!

We’re Getting Two “Tree House Of Horrors” This Year!

For the first time, this Halloween will get not one, but two “Simpsons” Treehouse of Horror specials! According to Variety, this year we will get one standard anthology-style special, like usual, but the second is going to be extra scary, “The Simpsons” is taking us to Derry, Maine for a completely Stephen King’s IT-themed episode! “We’ve never done a single fantastical, bloody, scary, dark story, told over the scope of the 20 minutes and 40 seconds that is an episode. I think the fans are going to be really excited. Certainly, the tattoos already exist of Krusty as Pennywise. So we’re just writing about the tattoos now. You want as many tattoo-worthy moments in your episodes as you can.” Said executive producer Matt Selman told Variety. “As for the regular, three-story “Treehouse of Horror,” one of this year’s segments will be a riff on the popular anime series “Death Note.” An entirely different studio is handling the animation, as “The

Shudder's Horror-Thriller 'Speak No Evil' Debuts This Week

A Family Finds Itself In Danger In ‘Speak No Evil,’ From Shudder & IFC Midnight

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers, and the supernatural, and IFC Midnight announced today the theatrical premiere date for the highly-anticipated psychological horror Speak No Evil. In Speak No Evil, on a vacation in Tuscany, two families – Danish and one Dutch – meet and become fast friends. Months later, the free-spirited Dutch family extends an invitation to the more conservative Danish one for a holiday weekend getaway at their countryside home. However, it doesn’t take long before things gradually get out of hand as the joy of reunion is replaced with misunderstandings. The Dutch hospitality quickly turns unnerving for the Danes, and they find themselves increasingly caught in a web of their own politeness in the face of eccentric…or is it sinister…behavior. An official selection of Sundance Midnight 2022, Speak No Evil is written and directed by Christian Tafdrup (A Horrible Woman) and has also played the Goteborg Film Festival 2022, Seattle International Film Festival 2022,
