‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ Review: Skin Crawling Goodness!

For a while now, since I first saw the concept art for it, I’ve been really hyped for A Plague Tale: Innocence. I have to give a thousand thanks to Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive for giving me an opportunity for seeing if the hype I’ve had was worth the wait. I’m happy to say, this is possibly the best game I have played so far as a Game Reviewer here at Horror Fuel! A Plague Tale: Innocence Follows Amicia De Rune, whose world was flipped upside down one fateful day when Inquisition forces led by Lord Nickolas murder her parents. Before escaping, Amicia is given the task to look after her little brother Hugo, who has been kept indoors since his birth due to an infliction that made their mother, an alchemist, his full-time caregiver which has led to a tense relationship between Amicia and her mother and resentment towards Hugo. ‘Layers Of Fear 2’ Released Date Announced!

With the success of their first-person horror Layers of Fear, Bloober Team and Gun Media have announced the sequel at PAX East to the delight of fans and have now confirmed its release date and what terrifying story awaits players. Layers of Fear 2 is keeping true to its predecessor and being a first-person experience. This time players are on a cruise ship that’s being used as a set for the production of a film which they were cast as the lead actor for this mysterious project by an eccentric director. The character’s past will haunt them as they explore the mysterious ship as the lines of reality and insanity are blurred all the while trying to figure out why they were chosen to be in this film. New ‘A Plague Tale’ Trailer Focuses On Human Foes

With its May 14th release approaching, Asobo Studios and Focus Home Interactive put up a new trailer that focuses on the human foes in A Plague Tale: Innocence. The trailer titled “Monsters” shows that the plague rats are only a fraction of what our heroes need to worry about, while the rats are driven by nature and instinct, humans are far scarier as they’re driven by something else. The game’s main characters, Amicia and Hugo are orphaned while the plague tears through France and their only salvation is to leave but not just because of the illness and the rats, but because of the inquisition that seeks out Hugo. The sibling’s masked foe is Lord Nickolas, is the commander of the Inquisition’s forces. A worthy opponent who will do whatever it takes to complete his mission and not allowing anyone to get in his way. ‘Sonic’ To Be Redesigned Says Director

First, it was the “creepy legs” on the poster, then it was the “creepy teeth” in the trailer, fans did not hold back how much they hated the look of the iconic video game character Sonic in the upcoming live-action film, Sonic the Hedgehog. The film will follow the iconic character’s misadventures on Earth along with a human sidekick. The “Sonic” games are iconic to many gamers and fans of SEGA. The blue caricature of famed spiky animal species collects rings and frees animals that were turned into robots all while moving at great speed. The game spawned an animated TV series as well as some more up to date games that take place in the Sonic universe. The live-action film came under fire immediately after the teaser poster was released showing a silhouette of Sonic in an “on your mark!” pose with his iconic red shoes visible. Celebrate Alien Day With These Facts

Happy Alien Day! For those not in the know, today is that day we celebrate the release of the first Alien film, and this year it’s special, not just because it’s the 4th annual Alien Day but it’s also the 40th Anniversary of the film’s release back in 1979! What better way to celebrate than with sharing some interesting trivia relating to the films. Warning, there may some spoilers ahead. Preview: Sniper Elite V2 Remastered

Rebellion was awesome enough to send me a preview of their upcoming game, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered for the Xbox One. This remastered version of the game is chock-full of goodies for any fan of sniper games, or for someone like me who’s played the original game. This third-person shooter will take you behind enemy lines towards the end of the Second World War as an OSS operative and sniper. You can go in guns blazing or (my preferred method) stealthy and keeping the enemy as far away as your sniper scope can zoom. You can lone wolf it or bring a friend to back you up. This game is a lot of fun to play, you can set traps to cover your escape, place explosives for you to snipe, and you can hone your sniper skills (depending on the difficulty). The best part is when you shoot your rifle, there’s a cinematic scene where you follow the bullet to

The New ‘Carnivore Dinosaur Pack’ DLC Adds More Teeth To ‘Jurassic World Evolution’

Adding more carnivores to your own Jurassic Park, what could go wrong right? Well, Frontier Games gave me the opportunity to try out their latest DLC for Jurassic World Evolution, the “Carnivore Dinosaur Pack” that features three new dinosaurs. They come in three sizes, small, medium, and large but let’s start off with the small one first since it’s my favorite of the three, the Proceratosaurus, this little guy is your standard pack following eating machine, though it’s my favorite its weak against many of the bigger dinos. The Herrerasaurus is the next size up, it acts like the Indoraptor from the “Fallen Kingdom” DLC in how it attacks other dinos and guests, a vicious bugger! Finally the big boy, the Acrocanthosaurus. This pudgy Rex looking dino is pretty tough against smaller carnivores but can be easily taken down by a T-Rex. Putting Opinions To Bed After Watching All Three ‘Ghostbusters’ Films

In recent years, there’s still a lot of talk about the “Ghostbusters” franchise, may it be about the anticipation of the long-awaited third installment, or the controversy still plaguing the 2016 reboot. The reboot has caused such a flare-up of toxic masculinity/femininity that it’s one of those films no one really wants to talk about or get into. Well, I don’t really have an opinion on the reboot because…I’ve never seen it, so I wanted to change that. I decided to do a “Ghostbusters” marathon and watch all three films in a row and give an honest opinion on them. Suicide Can Be “Contagious” Says Science

Seeing the title of this article automatically fills your head with scenes from films where a supernatural force causes people to take their own lives after being exposed to it. Facts usually are more terrifying than fiction as it turns out there’s truth to this idea, it’s called Suicide Contagion and it’s on the rise. This contagion is not viral or bacterial but a psychological trigger. The concept of Suicide Contagion (also referred to as Copycat Suicide) has been around since the 18th century and was known as the Werther effect. This phenomenon was named after the main character in the 1779 novel The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe. The book became popular in Europe to the point that many people began to emulate portions of the story into their daily lives such as men dressing in the same fashion as Werther, and painted porcelain (that was mentioned in the book) began to appear in shops.
