Bruce Campbell Gives An Update On The Status of ‘Bubba-Ho-Tep 2’

Bubba-Ho-Tep might be one of the weirdest little horror comedies ever made, starring Bruce Campbell as a man who claims to be an elderly Elvis (The King playing The King), a black JFK, and a soul sucking mummy dressed like John Wayne. None of it really makes much (or any) sense, but Bubba rises above the sum of its jumbled parts, turning into one of the most absurd and hilarious horror comedies of it’s era. The original released way back in 2002, leaving fans moaning for a sequel; a sequel they unfortunately aren’t going to get. The culprit? Well, it pains me to say this, but Bruce Campbell. “I killed it,” Campbell told EW Channel’s Entertainment Weirdly show. “I killed it for me. I told the creators that I didn’t want to dance around it anymore. I feel that the first one was a nice little gem and you don’t have to make a sequel for everything.“ Well damn. It

A Summer Staple Get’s Scary With ‘THE ICE CREAM TRUCK’

Skidding end at the tail end of the summer horror season comes ‘THE ICE CREAM TRUCK’, one of the creepiest looking indie films I’ve ever seen. There’s something about suburbia that’s never sat well with me. Behind picket fences and backyard barbecues, there’s always something sinister brewing, festering and growing strong in the deceit. Those cookie cutter houses on the outskirts of the city are supposed to be safe, a place where children run and play, old men feed pigeons, young couples kiss under the stars. Of course that’s very rarely how things actually play out. THE ICE CREAM TRUCK looks to tap into that fear, by using one of the most wholesome images in Americana as a source of evil. Directed by Megan Johnston, the film follows “Mary, who moves back to her suburban hometown after her husband gets relocated for work. As her family ties up loose ends back home, she moves into their new house alone. And

‘The Munsters’ Reboot Smashes Its Way Onto NBC

After the failed rehash that was 2012’s oddly named Mockingbird Lane, NBC is zapping new life into the decades old Munsters franchise with a second attempt at rebooting. And this time Herman and the gang will be facing the only creatures that might be stranger than themselves…….. I’m so radically different, just like all my other friends Sure, making fun of hipsters and their stupid hats hasn’t been funny since 2013, but thats not stopping NBC giving it a shot. The new Munster series “follows members of an offbeat family who are determined to stay true to themselves but struggle to fit in in hipster Brooklyn.” Seth Meyers is on board as an executive producer, but little else is currently known about the project; casting, show runners, and a general sense of who actually wants this have yet to be revealed. The original Munster’s series has had quite the impact in pop culture, especially given it only lasted two seasons

5 Podcast Recommendations For Horror Fans

If you’re a horror fan and you don’t listen to podcasts you’re missing out! Podcasts, in general, are a great way to fill your daily commute, and you can find countless programs on virtually any topic imaginable. For the horror fan, there are tons of untapped entertainment just waiting to be downloaded! To get you started, here’s a list of 5 of my personal favorites, in no particular order: Stephen King Cast The Stephen King Cast is a weekly podcast where the host reviews every single Stephen King work, both book and film adaptation in chronological order. He provides a lot of insightful retrospection, and while I don’t agree with every one of his opinions, I do look forward to his show every week. Lore Lore is probably my favorite horror-related podcast. The host, Aaron Mahnke, is a fantastic narrator (something that isn’t easily said about all podcasts…) and the soundtrack that accompanies the episodes is brilliant. From the podcast’s
