The reboot is still shrouded in secrecy, but thanks to one of its producers we now know a little more. Back in June we got our first look at Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise in ‘IT’. But fans have been wondering what to expect from the new version. ‘IT’s producer Dan Lin recently gave Collider a few hints during the TCA Summer Presentation. I think a great analogy is actually Stranger Things, and we’re seeing it on Netflix right now,” Lin told Collider. “It’s very much an homage to ’80s movies, whether it’s classic Stephen King or even [Steven] Spielberg. Think about Stand by Me as far as the bonding amongst the kids. But there is a really

Game Of Thrones Actress Join Steven Spielberg’s Haunted

Back in March we reported that 28 Weeks Later’s Juan Carlos Fresnadillo had signed on to direct Haunted, a passion project by Steven Spielberg. Game of Thrones and Last Witch Hunter actress Rose Leslie (above) joins Annabelle’s Alfre Woodard (below) as the first cast members for this dark ghost tale from Amblin Entertainment. The script, penned by Chad and Carey Hayes (The Conjuring), for Haunted is inspired by the 1898 gothic novella Turn of the Screw written by Henry James. “The novella’s anonymous narrator is a young woman, a parson’s daughter, who is engaged as governess to two seemingly innocent children at a remote English country house. What initially seems a idyllic soon turns nightmarish, as she becomes convinced that the children are consorting with a pair of malevolent spirits. These are the ghosts of former employees at Bly: a valet and a previous governess. In life, scandalously, the two of them had been discharged as illicit lovers, and their

1…2… Freddy’s Coming For You…..AGAIN – A New Nightmare On Elm Street Remake

1…2…Freddy’s coming for you – in a brand new remake. That’s right, the man of our dreams is coming back in a new version of Nightmare on Elm Street from New Line Cinema. David Leslie Jones, the man behind Orphan and Wrath of the Titans, will be writing the script for New Line. Jones has also signed on to pen the next film in The Conjuring franchise. So far, Jones is the only person attached to the project. According to Bloody Disgusting, odds are we won’t see Robert Englund in the role. Even though the film already has a lot of potential with Jones on board, it just won’t feel right without Englund as Freddy. Let’s hope New Line decides to offer him the role. We all remember the last remake being a fiasco. Let’s hope that they don’t make the same mistakes with this one. We will keep you posted.

World War Z 2 May Have Found Its Director

A while back World War Z 2 lost its director, J.A. Bayona due to his commitment to another project. The film did find a new writer, Dennis Kelly. Since then there has been next to no updates on the film, until now. News comes that Brad Pitt is attempting to persuade David Fincher to have a seat in the director’s chair and join him on WWZ 2. Variety is reporting that the odds look good, as the talks are progressing. Fincher and Pitt have worked together on several great projects including Fight Club, the psychological thriller Seven, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They seem to be a great team, making WWZ 2 a good fit to continue their actor/director relationship. The film is set to be released on June 9th, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that date is pushed back considering the huge amount of CGI and special effects that the film requires. The first film follows
