Red Barrels presented the new gameplay trailer for The Outlast Trials during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022. This whole new take on the “Outlast” survival horror experience enters a Closed Beta playtest over Halloween weekend, from October 28th to November 1st, 2022. Set in the height of the Cold War era, players take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. Imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility, players will be thrust into a series of physical and mental ordeals, tormented by iconic characters, and challenged alone or in teams to survive with their sanity intact. More information will eventually be released.

Good Shepherd Entertainment and MGM have revealed an ambitious entry into the multiplayer horror genre, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game, a new 3v7 asymmetrical online multiplayer game inspired by MGM’s 1988 cult horror classic film about murderous alien Klowns that come to feed on the quiet town of Crescent Cove. Players can team up as either Klowns or humans, choosing from a variety of character classes, to explore an expansive and ever-changing map with creepy surprises waiting around every corner! Wales Interactive has released new content for Sker Ritual with details on a new Early Access launch schedule just in time for Halloween via the Meet the Elites’ Gamescom trailer featuring the teleporting Banshee, the hard-headed electric Mariner, the invisible Phantom, and the pyro juggernaut Blazeslinger! Sker Ritual is a round-based fps, very much like COD Zombies, and can be played solo, or with up to 4-players online with the intensity of Sker Island’s hordes scaled to the number of players. Sker Island has recruited new elites, each with a unique set of abilities that will force you to change up your playstyle, change your location, or enlist the help of your teammates! Players will also be able to customize their characters with cosmetics, taunts, and more that will be revealed soon.

For those of you who tuned in last night for the premiere of HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” you got to see a brand new sneak peek trailer for HBO’s upcoming Original releases. At the end of the video, we get a first look at their upcoming “Last of Us” series adaptation. While we don’t see any zombies, we do see Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) as Joel and Bell Ramsey (“Game of Thrones” as Elle. Bend Studios’ 2019 zombie game Days Gone is heading to the big screen for a film adaptation with “Outlander” star Sam Heughan currently in talks to star as Deacon St. John, according to Deadline. Oscar-nominee Sheldon Turner (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Up in the Air) is penning the script for Sony PlayStation. Set in the Pacific Northwest after a global pandemic, “The game chronicles former motorcycle club member, Deacon St. John, as he fights to survive against the forces of despair and mutated, predatory humans in his quest to find the long lost, presumed dead, love of his life.” Deadline also states that, “Turner’s script will be a love ballad to motorcycle movies; the bike being Deacon’s sole form of transportation, his horse in this would-be, modern-day western.” The movie was pitched as “The Walking Dead” meets “Sons of Anarchy.’ Vendetta Productions is producing along with Sony PlayStation Productions. Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment have released the new overview trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem the sequel to the critically acclaimed A Plague Tale: Innocence. Taking place on a mysterious island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea in the 14th century, Amicia is still looking for a cure for her brother Hugo’s mysterious illness that’s somehow connected to the plague terrorizing Europe and allows him to control hoards of plague rats. The trailer showcases new abilities that Amicia has at her disposal now to defeat enemies such as alchemy, using a crossbow, wrestling out of the grip of foes, and traversing the terrane to either strike head-on or from the shadows with the help of Hugo’s supernatural powers of sensing the location of enemies and their movements, as well as summoning hoards of rats to overwhelm the unfortunate soul that gets in the way of the siblings. Overborder Studio and Team 17‘s new dark fantasy is set in a plague-ridden kingdom where our hero must recover memories in order to save it, this is Thymesia. I want to give OverBorder Studio and Team 17 a thank you for the reviewing opportunity! Thymesia takes place in the kingdom of Hermes that’s being ravaged by a mysterious plague. Players take on the role of Corvus whose lost memories hold the key to saving the kingdom and himself. Now onto the game itself! The Tomb Raider franchise has taken quite a hit recently. The much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander has been canceled after MGM lost the rights. This means that the actress, the second to play the role after Angelina Jolie, will no longer be able to return to the character. The 2018 film was based on the hugely successful 2013 reboot of the franchise. Yet, there is some good news for Tomb Raider fans, it would appear that a leak confirms that a new game is set to shake things up.
