New Story Trailer For ‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ And Pre-Order

Keeping the hype going, Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studios have announced that their upcoming game, A Plague Tale: Innocence is available for Pre-order now. Along with the announcement comes a new story trailer showing the heartache that’s to come in the game’s story. The trailer shows how tranquil life was for the game’s heroes, the De Rune siblings Amicia and Hugo, before the hell that is the black plague came knocking on their doorstep. This time the trailer has a distinct focus on the Inquisitors than the plague rats. A Plague Tale: Innocence will be coming out May 14th for all gaming platforms. The game combines action, adventure, and stealth as well as using your environment to your advantage as you traverse the plague-ridden landscape in order to escape the outbreak, and solve the mystery of Hugo’s puzzling illness and why the Inquisitors want him.

Who Or What’s Killing ‘Fortnite’?

Back in July of 2017, Epic Games released a multiplayer game that seemed unique at the time, Fortnite. The third-person shooter has players teaming up with friends as they fight off waves of zombies and gather supplies to build up fortifications in order to protect their objective. The game soon changed into what we now know as today as Fortnite: Battle Royal. In this version, 100 players enter a play area with nothing; they gather supplies, build cover, outrun a health-draining storm, all the while trying to be the last one alive. In a fortnight (pun intended) the game’s popularity blew up especially with kids (under the age of 18). The game’s bright colors, animations, lack of violence (no blood or gore), humor, and the fact alone that it’s FREE, attracted many players around the world. So why is its popularity declining? The game became really popular when Youtubers and (Twitch) streamers started playing it. This is possibly where the

Opinion: Remaking ‘Resident Evil 4’ Would Be A Bad Idea

CAPCOM’s biggest release of 2018, Resident Evil 2, was a hit with critics and fans, myself included. The game is a remake of the original but not in a traditional “remake” sense. With the exception of the Orphanage level and a few extra scenes (or scene rewrites), the overall plot was the same along with the stories of the game’s two main heroes Claire and Leon. The major changes to RE2 obviously were the graphics and art making it more detailed to a real-world scenario, and the adoption of the third-person over-the-shoulder view for players, the first time this was seen in the “Resident Evil” game series was the 4th installment of the game, Resident Evil 4. There’s been some rumbling around the internet from fans wanting to see the RE2 remake magic happen again but with Resident Evil 4. The 2005 game took players out of Raccoon City and to a fictional location in Spain (where the locals spoke

‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ Rats Versus The Real Plague Rats

Focus Home Interactive has released their third and final episode of their web series showing behind the scenes of the making of their upcoming game, A Plague Tale: Innocence. The final episode titled “Children of the Plague” focuses more on the game’s main antagonists, the hoard of plague-infested rats. The developers at Asobo Studio used their own software to create the hoard of vermin where at times there will be about 5000 rats on the screen, along with being programmed with a “hive mind”, each virtual rat will have its own artificial intelligence and behavior. Spectacularly creepy! Rats for generations have been blamed for the Second Pandemic (Black Death) and have been depicted for a long time as being ravenous hoards attacking at will. Though the idea and imagery of a moving mountain of sleek fur, wormy tails, and deafening squeaks gnawing away at you instill fear and disgust, our own fears give these little dudes a little too much

Women Of Horror Month: Melina Juergens, From Video Editor To Award-Winning Actress

Imagine you’re at work one day and by chance, they needed someone to step in and perform a task you were not trained for and you nailed it on your first try. After impressing your coworkers you keep the position and as a result, you won the highest honors for it. This is what happened to Melina Juergens, my personal pick for Women of Horror Month. German-born Melina was working as a video editor for Ninja Theory while they were in the middle of making, what would become, their multi-award-winning video game, Hellbade: Senua’s Sacrifice. When the time came to animate the title character’s movements, Melina stepped in to don the motion capture suit and perform as the game’s heroine Senua, this inadvertently became an audition. Impressing everyone, Melina was now officially playing the title role both voicing and acting out her actions via-motion capture. Adding more to it, her likeness was used for Senua forever cementing her place in

‘The Ghost Survivors’ DLC Coming To ‘Resident Evil 2’ UPDATE

If you have not got a copy of the horror game of the year, Resident Evil 2, then this news of an upcoming free Downloadable Content (DLC) should entice you. In the upcoming mode The Ghost Survivors, players will turn back the clocks during the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City and see the nightmare from three new angels. In this “what if” scenario, you take on the roles of three individuals who have not survived the outbreak. In the segment titled, “No time to mourn”, follows gun shop owner Robert Kendo whose appearance in the Resident Evil 2 remake is more tragic than in the original where he was just a cannon fodder character. Blu-ray Review: Double Dragon (1994)

In the amazing future year 2007, the villainous businessman/shadow monster Koga Shuko (Robert Patrick, who looks absolutely preposterous and gobbles up scenery like he’s hitting the mac n’ cheese trough at the local Golden Corral) lords over the city of New Angeles. Not for nothing, he has also come in possession of half of a mystical medallion (called the Double Dragon) that when made whole grants it’s owner some of those mystic powers the kids are so into these days. Well, humanity can breathe easy as the other half is in the possession of Satori (Julia Nickson) and her two adopted sons Billy and Jimmy Lee (Scott Wolf and Mark Dacascos)…underground karate tournament fighters and favorite targets for Bo Abobo (Nils Allen Stewart…who seems to be having the time of his life in the role…as does everyone in this thing honestly), leader of the Mohawk Gang and frequent steroid abuser. Soon Shuko kills Satori, tuns Abobo into an outrageous monster,

A Remake Done Right: Video Game Review Of ‘Resident Evil 2’

I remember playing Resident Evil 2 on the N64 a lot; in fact, it was the first “Resident Evil” game I’ve ever played that got me hooked onto the series. Fast forward to now, you could only imagine the honor I felt when CAPCOM gave me the opportunity to play the remake of this classic and what I can say is this: If you liked the original, then you’ll love this! Don’t worry this is spoiler free! First thing I noticed right away playing this game, its dark, not figuratively, literally and that makes it amazing as it adds to the tension. Speaking of tension, usually, a soundtrack helps break it but the lack of one playing as you explore your surroundings makes it terrifying! I suggest playing this game with headphones as all the stops were pulled to creep you out with 3D surround sound, every creak of wood, the structural groan from wind, and distant sounds of flesh-crazed
