In Tonopah, Nevada sits a hotel labeled the “Scariest motel in America”, you know it as the Clown Motel. Nicknamed by Roadtrippers, the clown-themed motel (*shudders) is pure nightmare fuel, it is also rumored to be haunted (as if the place wasn’t scary enough already). Now, the creepy as s*it Clown Motel has inspired a horror film. Guess where the movie is being filmed. You guessed it, the Clown Motel. Oh, and the title of the film, Clown Hotel. The film stars two genre icons, Tony Moran who starred as the unmasked Michael Myers in the original Halloween, Ari Lehman who played young Jason Vorhees in 1980’s Friday the 13th, and Pirates of the Caribbean’s Martin Klebba. In recent years, there’s still a lot of talk about the “Ghostbusters” franchise, may it be about the anticipation of the long-awaited third installment, or the controversy still plaguing the 2016 reboot. The reboot has caused such a flare-up of toxic masculinity/femininity that it’s one of those films no one really wants to talk about or get into. Well, I don’t really have an opinion on the reboot because…I’ve never seen it, so I wanted to change that. I decided to do a “Ghostbusters” marathon and watch all three films in a row and give an honest opinion on them. WARNING: Potential Spoilers Ahead To keep it fair, I watched the theatrical versions of all three. January 31, 1927 – April 19, 2019 Today, the paranormal community mourn the heartbreaking loss of Lorraine Warren, perhaps the most well known paranormal investigator and psychic of the 20th century, along with her husband Ed Warren. The announcement was just made by a close family friend and representative of the Warren estate, Tony Spera. It is with deep sadness that I must announce that Lorraine Warren has passed away. When I first heard of Ragmork, I wasn’t sure just what kind of picture it would be…the title conjured images of a fantasy epic in my mind (though that may just be how my fevered imagination fires)…but images released certainly didn’t indicate that would be the case. So just what is Ragmork about? Viktor Graves (Tim Novotny), a fucked up kid, from a fucked up family, who has grown up into a fucked up adult (as is often the way), walks out of his cubicle-hell of a job and rolls back into the town where he grew up in rural Ohio. Now devoid of the dysfunctional family Viktor begins searching for answers in his life, drifting from one encounter to another before being attacked by a feral man named Ragmork (John Bradley Hambrick), whom our hero gets a bit stabby with. Annabelle Comes Home soon opening in theaters, The Conjuring 3 is in production, The Crooked Man is likely on his way, and now word has come that The Nun 2 is already in the works. Director Corin Hardy’s The Nun (review) brought in over $365 million worldwide at box offices so it’s really no surprise that a sequel is on the books. I had the opportunity to speak with paranormal pioneer Bob Magill and investigator Tina Storer about the series and their process of helping victims as well as what made them want to be paranormal investigators. Horror Fuel: “How did “Ghost Bait” come to be?” Bob Magill: “Ghost Bait started as a web series back in 2011. I have a background in therapy and a production company and I love anything that has to do with the paranormal.
