Halloween may be over but the spooks keep coming and Bandai Namco brought it with their latest installment in their The Dark Pictures Anthology series with the fourth story in the series The Devil In Me. I want to thank Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco for allowing me to continue checking out this series for our readers! Let us take a look at The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me. The Devil In Me takes an interesting turn in the series where the game’s story is not inspired by historical events with supernatural undertones (A rumored ghost ship, The Salem Witch Trials, and the curse of Naram-Sin) but by something very real, Serial Killers. The serial killer that the game focuses on is non-other than the infamous H.H. Holmes. Focus Entertainment and THE PARASITE released the new gamplay trailer for the upcoming first-person dark fairy tale Blacktail as the game’s release will be next month. Blacktail is the retelling of the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga where players take on the role of Yaga, a girl accused of witchcraft and forced to fend for herself but then memories of her past returned in the form of walking spirits, Yaga is then forced to hunt them down with the hopes by doing so she’ll be uncovering her own mystery. Players will be armed with a bow and be able to use magical powers to fight enemies, and gather resources to craft potions and arrows. Players will determine the fate of the land by making moral choices along the way that will determine if Yaga will become a good, or evil witch. Blacktail will be coming out on December 15th for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S

Have you ever been interested in trying to build something with your own hands and displaying it, or know someone who likes to tinker, there’s a company you may want to consider for the upcoming holiday season! Meet Mecrob, a company that specializes in making metal puzzle models aimed at adult hobbyists. I’m all about mood lighting so when I saw they had a Cyberpunk Spider Lamp, I had to challenge myself! I want to thank Mecrob for helping to make this review possible! It should be noted that Mecrob’s models have difficulty levels, this lamp is at medium difficulty and the most complex thing I’ve ever put together with my hands was legos, so I’ll admit this was a challenge for me but I got it done! The kit came in a small toolbox that housed all the parts in marked bags along with the instructions. Included in the kit to my surprise were a pair of needle-nosed plyers

Bendy, the little animated scamp from Bendy and the Ink Machine will be coming back to haunt your dreams. Today Roster Teeth and Joey Drew Studios have debuted a new trailer for the sequel along with information about the release date. Bendy and the Dark Revival is a first-person survival horror where players assist Audrey as she explores the ever-madening animation studio that’s being haunted by the ink demon. Players will have to solve puzzles and fight ink-tainted enemies as they help uncover the mysteries of the animation studio and escape, all the while trying to stay away from the ink demon. The game will introduce several new features and mechanics to deliver more action-oriented gameplay. Using agility, stealth, and strategy to fight or evade enemies as you explore the studio. Focus Home released an action-packed gameplay overview trailer today to help add more to your Halloween. Evil West is a third-person action-adventure game taking players to the old west as Jesse Rentier, a vampire hunter who is in the Old west that’s infested with vampires and other evils that have wiped out the institute of vampire hunters that he’s a part of. On a mission of vengeance, Jesse is also on a mission to rebuild the organization his father built that hunts vampires. Happy Halloween Ghouls and Ghoulettes! When you think of Halloween you don’t see yourself spending time at the beach right? Or at a beach out of time…and space? Well, that’s how I spent my Halloween in Broken Pieces. I want to give thanks to Elseware Experience and Freedom Games for the reviewing opportunity. Broken Pieces takes place on the seaside of France in 1993 where players take on the role of Elise, a woman searching for her missing fiance as the world seems to be outside of time and the village she’s in is devoid of life as an event took place resulting in the population going missing and supernatural threats stalk the streets. When it comes to the controls, Broken Pieces thankfully has a tutorial system but the more I played it, it became evident that the game is more suited for mouse and keyboard which makes some interactions and movements awkward. Fans of the Call of Duty game series were either dreading or looking forward to the latest installment in the franchise, the remake of the 2009 Modern Warfare 2. I’ll admit it’s been a LONG time since I’ve played COD, the last being Black Ops 3, which made me put the controller down on the series as I felt the series was focusing more on online multiplayer fanservicing than single-player campaigns. Today the first-person mystery horror Charon’s Staircase was released for all consoles and PC in time for Halloween to give you some chills over the weekend, does it deliver? Let’s find out, but first, I would like to thank SOEDESCO and Indigo Studios for the reviewing opportunity. Charon’s Staircase (pronounced Karen) takes place in an unidentified (presumably) Eastern European country in the 1970s that will be joining the European Union but wants the totalitarian skeleton in its closet to be erased. This is where agent “Desmond” comes in. Desmond is assigned to retrieve and destroy secret documents relating to human experiments conducted at the Oak Grove estate. Once there Desmond uncovers darker secrets he wishes to share with the world…if he survives. Now onto the game itself! Charon’s Staircase‘s controls are limited as the game focuses mainly on exploring and puzzle-solving. The game is fully voice acted as it’s narrated at points of the game as Desmond tells his story.

The season finale of “The Dark Pictures Anthology” is quickly approaching with its release next month but Bandai Namco released a new trailer in time for Halloween to help fans get into the spirit. The new trailer for The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me features the game’s antagonist as well as offers a glimpse into the potential fate of the characters. The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me follows the Lonnit Entertainment crew who were lured to a reproduction of the infamous Murder Castle for their failing documentary on H.H. Holmes by Granthem Du’Met. Du’Met trapped the crew inside and now watches their every move, plotting and planning their most exquisite deaths. Players will have to make choices that will determine if their character lives or meets a gruesome fate. The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me releases on November 18th, 2022, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Giallo is a genre in Italian cinema, think of Noir films but with horror elements thrown into the story and occasional eroticism… can’t be European (especially Italian) without that right? Now combine that with old folklore from Sardinia and what do you get? You get Saturnalia, a survival horror game where players must uncover the truth in order to survive their stay in an ancient Italian village. I want to give thanks to Santa Ragione for the reviewing opportunity! Saturnalia takes place in an old village on the island of Sardinia where they play as one of four playable characters trying to make sense of the events going on in the village surrounding a mysterious ritual where a horned creature stalks the streets at night.
