The highly anticipated RPG game of the year, “Call of Cthulhu: The official Video Game”, released a new trailer at the gaming event GAMESCOM. The trailer highlights key gameplay mechanics accompanied by commentary explaining in detail how your actions can affect the outcome of the game. “Call of Cthulhu: The official Video Game” is based on the tabletop RPG that’s inspired by the short story of the same name by H.P. Lovecraft. The story follows Edward Pierce, a private detective investigating the death of the Hawkins family on the fictional Darkwater Island. The more Pierce digs deeper into the case, the more horrors beyond human comprehension he’ll encounter. The yearly gaming expo GAMESCOM, in Germany, was invaded by the same hoard that’s been invading other gaming conventions, plague rats! Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive released an uncut 16-minute gameplay trailer for their upcoming game, “A Plague Tale: Innocence” The trailer originally was shown to the press behind closed doors at E3, but has now been made public, and the game looks EPIC! It should be noted that the gameplay shown is a work in progress, so the scene depicted may be laid out differently or may not even be in the game upon release. “A Plague Tale: Innocence” follows siblings Amicia and Hugo in 1349 as they try to escape the hellish landscape that France has become due to war and the plague. Today Funcom revealed the release date for their upcoming real-time strategy game, “Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden” with a new trailer. The game is set to be released December 4th of this year and will be on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is based on a paper and pen RBG “Mutant IP” from the 80’s. The story takes place in a post-human world and follows three mutants, Selma, a humanoid mutant, Dux, a duck with an attitude, and Bormin, a boar with anger issues. There are other characters and all with their own unique personality and abilities. “Mutant Year Zero: Road to Even” will feature turn-based combat, stealth, and exploration making it a unique RPG.

Hail to the king baby! Fans will be able to enjoy some groovy boomstick action once again but this time they’re in control! That’s right, “Ash vs. Evil Dead” will be back in the form of a video game! The man himself, Bruce Campbell first told Horror Fuel about it in a recent interview and since then news of it has trickled out onto the web. Details are sparse as this is more of a recent development but it’s been confirmed that YES, there is a game coming, and YES cast members from “Ash vs. Evil Dead” will be involved in some capacity, may it be reprising their roles by voicing the characters or assisting in the creative process of the game’s development, but Ash himself will definitely be voiced by Campbell! Rest assured we’ll be keeping an eye on this as it progresses and will keep you informed!

In the wise words of Professor Farnsworth: Fans of the legendary game, “Halo”, can now enjoy the arcade installment in the franchise, “Halo: Fireteam Raven” at Dave & Buster’s locations across the U.S.! The game, that originally made its world debut in Australia last month, is a co-op experience where players can either play as a team alongside the legendary Master Chief against the Covenant, a joint alien empire, and the dreaded Flood, a zombie-like hoard. Players can also fight against one another. The booth is seated and sports a 130-inch widescreen, 4K gameplay, and 5.1 surround sound, offering the ultimate “Halo” experience to any fan whether you’re on team UNSC or team Covenant. Me? For those who remember, the figures resemble the old He-Man action figures for the classic animated series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”. Daedalic Entertainment gave me access to their newly released sci-fi thriller, “State of Mind” that is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game takes place in Berlin where the year is 2045 and Earth’s health is declining. Technology is changing people’s lives for better and worse resulting in the rise of a terrorist group known as Breakpoint who are against the latest in technological advancements, especially with humanity’s reliance on drone, and robotic tech. The story of “State of Mind” is seen through the eyes of people from two dramatically different ends of the social spectrum, those who live in Berlin and those who live in the utopian city known as City 5. The first thing that stood out for me is the visual style of the game, for being low-poly, it’s beautiful! The scenery is absolutely stunning and visually appealing, reminding me of “Blade Runner” and the overall tone also reminding me of

As the title of this article says, a new video game is coming next year with a twist; a musical romantic comedy about a grim reaper named Felix. “Felix the Reaper” is a puzzle game being independently developed by Danish game developer Kong Orange. Players will take on the role of the titled character, Felix, who works for the Ministry of Death, but alas, Felix is in love with Betty the Maiden who works for the Ministry of Life. Felix hopes to meet Betty while on the job as he works in the human world reaping souls as he groves to the tunes on his walkman. In each level, Felix works in the shadows (as he dances to music) where he can manipulate the surroundings to cause the death of a mortal. Bulgarian developer Kyodai and worldwide Publisher Sodesco, are taking players to the year 2073 where Earth was struck with a terrible childhood disease that’s threatening mankind. The game follows Elea, whose husband was part of an expedition to a planet that’s believed to be habitable and will save mankind. Naturally, the mission goes awry and communication is lost after his ship and crew are not heard from again after they approached the planet. Years later a distress signal is sent from the ship and Elea joins a recovery mission where she goes on a surreal journey through time and space as she looks for her husband. The game is in first-person and heavily story driven as it’s inspired by the literary works of sci-fi pioneers Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke, and Frank Herbert. The game will be out September 6th for the Xbox One
