Trailer Debuts For Netflix’s True-Crime Inspired Thriller ‘The Good Nurse’

While its title may be The Good Nurse, Netflix’s upcoming thriller is about someone who is anything but good. Set to premiere this October, the film is based on a real-life serial killer, Charles Cullen, and is an adaptation of Charles Graeber’s 2013 book The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder. The film is from BAFTA-nominated director Tobias Lindholm (Mindhunter, The Hunt) and Oscar-nominated writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917). It stars Jessica Chastain (It Chapter Two) and Fantastic Beast’s Eddie Redmayne. In The Good Nurse, an infamous caregiver is implicated in the deaths of hundreds of hospital patients. In reality, Charles Cullen has been implicated in around 300 -yes, you read that right, 300 – deaths and earned himself the title of “Angel of Death.” Born in 1960, after leaving the Navy, the real Charles Cullen spent sixteen years killing while working as a nurse. “Unsolved Mysteries” Returns To Netflix This October

After a long wait, Netflix is finally giving us new episodes of “Unsolved Mysteries” in what is being described as a “three-night event” with an episode being released weekly. Deadline reports that “Volume 3” “will feature more unexplained disappearances, tragic events, and bizarre occurrences – the first two volumes have included stories such as a strange death in Oslo, tsunami spirits in Japan, and UFOs in Massachusetts.” The reboot of the iconic 1980s series is rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable. Families, detectives, and journalists hope viewers hold the clues to solving these mysteries. “Unsolved Mysteries” is executive produced by Terry Dunn Meurer for Cosgrove/Meurer Productions, as well as Shawn Levy and Josh Barry for 21 Laps Entertainment. “Unsolved Mysteries” returns on October 18, 2022, as part of this Halloween’s “Netflix and Chills.” Watch all 12 previously aired episodes now on Netflix.

From Girls and Corpses/Crappy World Films, comes this horrific tale, Pig Killer, starring Jake Busey (Stranger Things, Starship Troopers, The Frighteners) in the role of his life, as Canadian serial killer Willie Pickman. The story was inspired by the true story of Vancouver serial killer Willie Pickton who murdered 49 women and fed them to his pigs. Keanu Reeves Joins Leonardo DiCaprio For Hulu’s “Devil In The White City” Series

Several months ago we reported that John Wick star Keanu Reeves was in talks to star in an adaptation of Erik Larson’s “Devil in the White City”. Reeves has now confirmed he will star in the Hulu series. The eight-episode series will be executive produced by Leonardo DiCarpio and Martin Scorcese. Sam Shaw is will serve as showrunner with Todd Fields directing. The book follows two men during The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893 – one being a groundbreaking architect, Daniel H. Burnham and the other being serial killer Henry H. Holmes who built hotel referred to as the “Murder Castle,” where he racked up a body count estimated to be over 200. David Harbour & Pedro Pascal Starring In The True Crime Series “My Dentist’s Murder Trail”

HBO has just announced the upcoming limited series “My Dentist’s Murder Trial,” a true crime series starring “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour and Pedro Pascal who is also set to star in HBO’s upcoming “The Last of Us” series. The series is based on the 2017 New Yorker article titled “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, false identities, and a lethal sedation,” written by James Lasdun, about his dentist, Dr. Gilberto Nunez, who murdered a man. The role will be played by Pascal.
