Today we’ve got a treat for you. To celebrate the release of the Shudder Original film Hellbender, we’ve got a new clip that reveals why Tequila worms and magic don’t mix. The latest film from the upstate N.Y. filmmaker family The Adams, Hellbender is written, directed, produced, scored, and edited by Toby Poser, John Adams, and Zelda Adams (The Deeper You Dig) — who also star alongside Lulu Adams. It’s the sixth feature from Wonder Wheel Productions, the family-run production company founded by Poser and Adams and their children. The family also produced the music for the feature with tracks from their experimental punk band H6LLB6ND6R. Shudder announced today that Stephanie Beatriz and Paul Wesley will headline the cast of the Shudder Original Film History of Evil, a horror-thriller written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Bo Mirhosseni. In the film, a family on the run from a corrupt state takes refuge in a safe house with an evil past – a terrifying last stop on a near-future Underground Railroad. Beatriz is best known for her work on such hits as Encanto, In the Heights and for her role as snarky officer Rosa in the comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”. With today being Valentine’s Day, is perfect timing for Shudder to announce that the streaming service for horror and thrillers, has acquired the horror-romance Attachment. Attachment is a film about love at first sight, steeped in Jewish folklore. Maja, a Danish has-been actress falls in love with Leah, a young, Jewish academic from London. But when Leah suffers a mysterious seizure, leading to a debilitating injury, Maja fears their whirlwind romance might be cut short – and decides to follow Leah back to her home in the Hasidic area of Stamford Hill, London.
