'Blade' Sinks Its Teeth into a New Writer and Release Date

‘Blade’ Sinks Its Teeth into a New Writer and Release Date

Marvel‘s highly anticipated Blade reboot has long been trapped in development hell. The project has suffered another major setback, with director Yann Demange being the latest to exit, joining previous director Bassam Tariq, who departed earlier. This leaves the future of the vampire hunter shrouded in uncertainty. Blade‘s development has been plagued by multiple delays and obstacles at every turn, like the directorial changes, writer switch-ups, studio pauses, and rumors, which have kept fans in suspense. The screenplay has undergone numerous revisions by various writers, including Michael Starrbury, Nic Pizzolatto, and Michael Green. Currently, Marvel veteran Eric Pearson is now taking the reins. Despite rumors of involvement with Jurassic World, Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali remains attached to star as the vampire bloodsucker hunter. Let’s hope he doesn’t walk away, too, because, in our opinion, he’s perfect for the role. Marvel is reportedly determined to get Blade out in 2025. But with their new strategy of releasing fewer big-budget films yearly, anything

Ben Kingsley Will Lead The Cast Of New Adaptation Of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Violent Cases’

35 years after publishing Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean’s first-ever graphic novel, today Scary Monster, Lakesville Productions and Foton Pictures have now announced that development on Violent Cases is well underway with Academy Award®-winning actor Ben Kingsley attached in the lead role of the Osteopath led by the creative team behind the BAFTA-nominated The Girl With All The Gifts, director Colm McCarthy, writer Mike Carey, and producer Camille Gatin. At only 50 pages, “Violent Cases” features a narrator, who tells of how, as a small child in Portsmouth, he was taken by his father to be treated by an osteopath ( a licensed physician who uses both conventional treatments and osteopathic manipulative medicine) who was once employed by Al Capone. The nature of the narrator’s relationship with his father, the tales the osteopath told, and the disturbing events that followed, are partially obscured by the narrator’s imperfect recall of things he was not old enough to understand at the time.

Shudder Shares Nine Minute Clip From Series “Queer for Fear: The History of Queer Horror”

Shudder‘s upcoming limited series “Queer for Fear: The History of Queer Horror,” executive produced by “Hannibal” creator Bryan Fuller, finally has a release date, set for this September. Shudder announced the news this weekend at SDCC where they shared a nine-minute long sneak peek which you can watch below. “Queer for Fear” is a four-part documentary series about the history of the LGBTQ+ community in the horror and thriller genres. “From its literary origins with queer authors Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, and Oscar Wilde to the pansy craze of the 1920s that influenced Universal Monsters and Hitchcock; from the “lavender scare” alien invasion films of the mid-20th century to the AIDS-obsessed bloodletting of 80s vampire films; through genre-bending horrors from a new generation of queer creators; “Queer for Fear” re-examines genre stories through a queer lens, seeing them not as violent, murderous narratives, but as tales of survival that resonate thematically with queer audiences everywhere.” “As queer people, we are

Zach Galligan Is Returning For HBO Max’s New Series “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai’

Original Gremlins star Zach Galligan is returning for a new role in HBO Max’s upcoming animated prequel series “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai,” which tells the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing acquired Gizmo back in the 1920s. “I can’t say too much but because it’s 1920s China, I’m not playing Billy because he wasn’t around,” Galligan said at SDCC. “So I’m playing this cool character. It was really fun and amazing to work with a new group of creative people who are taking a fresh look at the franchise and are expanding the mythology—who knows what they’re going to add. Maybe they’ll add a new transformation or a new rule we don’t know about yet… I think Gremlins fans are going to eat it up.” It looks like Zach Galligan will be back in Gremlins once again! Although, this time it won’t be as the Billy that we are used to. Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai is an all-new
