New Featurette Explores Jared Leto's 'Morbius'

Sink Your Teeth Into The New ‘Morbius’ Trailer

A new trailer has arrived for Marvel’s Morbius, giving us a glimpse of Morbius’ origin story and a ton of bloody action. Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life. Tyrese Gibson stars as FBI agent Simon Stroud; Jared Harris (“The Terror”) plays Morbius’ mentor; Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”) plays the film’s villain Loxias Crown; and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is Morbius’ love interest. Daniel Espinosa (Life) directs from the script penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the Morbius character created by writer Roy Thomas which made its debut in Amazing Spider-Man #101. After multiple, and I mean multiple delays, Morbius is reportedly set to land in theaters on January 28, 2022. Let’s hope this release date actually sticks.

Movie Reviews: “What Josiah Saw” and “Let the Wrong One In” (Screamfest)

Movie Reviews: “What Josiah Saw” and “Let the Wrong One In” (Screamfest)

What Josiah Saw One of the darkest gothic horror tales in recent memory is director Vincent Grashaw’s What Josiah Saw. Rich in ghosts, curses, premonitions, and other supernatural elements, the story is also grounded in the real-world horrors of abuse, suicide, and the lingering effects of these and other trauma-inducing incidents. Robert Patrick stars as Josiah Graham, alcoholic, abusive patriarch of a family made up of three adult children, two of whom want nothing to do with visiting the family property where they grew up — though, naturally for this plot, they eventually must. Tom (Scott Haze), the youngest of the siblings, lives at the home, still suffering abuse and wild flights of fancy from his father. Eli (Nick Stahl), the eldest, is an alcoholic loser in debt with criminals so badly that he must go on a robbery job immediately or be shot on the spot by the local crime boss. Mary (Kelli Garner), the middle child, suffers psychological

Netflix Review: ‘Night Teeth’ Lacks Bite

Netflix Review: ‘Night Teeth’ Lacks Bite

Netflix’s new vampire movie Night Teeth debuts this October. I sank my teeth into it to answer an important question, does it have a bite or does it suck? In the movie, Benny (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.) agrees to fill in as a chauffeur for his brother. His fare for the night happens to be two beautiful young women, Zoe (Lucy Fry) and Blaire (Debby Ryan). But as Benny drives them from place to place he notices strange things, until he discovers their secret, and their fangs, and that they are in a city-wide battle for power among the vampire elite. Quite a few stars make cameos including Megan Fox, Sydney Sweeney, “Game of Thrones” actor Alfie Allen, and “Vikings” star Alexander Ludwig, all as vampires. Here’s the thing, a lot of the advertising teased Fox would play an important role in the movie, but she gets maybe five minutes of screen time (at the most), which made me feel a

For generations, the Harker Family has protected the cursed skull of the last master vampire, the source of all vampires on earth. Now the last remaining Harkers must fight to save their ancestral home and the world in the award-winning horror-comedy I Had A Bloody Good Time At Harker House. In a modern-day Midwestern town, no one likes the last remaining Harker siblings because they believe in vampires and vampires don’t exist. Netflix Review: Midnight Mass

Netflix Review: Midnight Mass

Mike Flanagan, the brilliant mind behind Netflix’s “Haunting of Hill House,” Doctor Sleep, and Geralds’s Game, is back with his latest genre offering, the Netflix series “Midnight Mass.” WARNING SPOILERS! Now, if you’re expecting something haunting like “Haunting of Hill Houe,” you’ll be sorely disappointed. “Midnight Mass” is a whole different monster entirely. Instead of dark paranormal horror, we get religious horror. The series centers on an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after a charismatic, mysterious young priest arrives. Religion is the main topic throughout the series, and there’s a fine line between too much and just enough. The constant preaching and non-stop bible quotes overshadowed the story and the horror we were promised. The tale of the characters and their struggles take a back seat to the hours of religious idealogy and sermons, which annoyed me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with religion, but it felt like “Midnight Mass” was trying
