MGM Sinks Its Fangs Into A New ‘Blacula’ Movie

One of the most iconic vampires to ever bare their fangs is Blacula, played in the 1972 classic blaxploitation film starring William Marshall and directed by William Crain. Guess what, it’s getting a modern reimagining, Variety reports. Before you get your panties in a bunch, you should know it’s more of a sequel than a reboot. The new movie will pick up where the original ended and after the 1973 sequel Scream Blacula Scream. In the new movie, “Blacula is an ancient African prince who is cursed by Dracula after he fails to agree to end the slave trade. Blacula is entombed and awakens 200 years later ready to avenge the death of his ancestors and of those responsible for robbing his people of their work, culture, and heritage as they appropriated it for profit.” Variety states. MGM, Bron, and Deon and Roxanne Avent Taylor of Hidden Empire are behind the new movie. Here’s a look back at the original

‘Doctor Cushing’s Chamber Of Horrors’ Blends Classic Horror With Modern Terror – Book Review

Plot With Doctor Cushing out hunting down other mysteries and horrors, his museum is being taken care of by his twin daughters, Topaz and Opal. The premise of this plot is pretty simple, but that is a good thing! Author Stephen D. Sullivan takes this simple plot and creates a wonderful adventure into a love affair with horror. This novel feels like a loving tribute to all the classic horror monsters we know and love…werewolves, vampires, a wax museum and more. Sullivan obviously has a love of horror and that is obvious throughout this whole plot. Not only is a tribute to the classics, but it is a plot that stands alone and is an utterly entertaining adventure. Characters I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Obviously with Topaz and Opal being the main characters, the spotlight is really on them. They have a wonderful sister dynamic that is both realistic and entertaining. With the terrors they go through

Movie Review (Tribeca Festival 2021): My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To

How far would you go to help keep a sick loved one alive? How willing would you be to enable an addicted family member? At what point would you begin to say “Enough is enough” in either of these scenarios and actually act on it? These are just three of the questions explored in writer/director Jonathan Cuartas’ arthouse horror feature My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To. Three siblings live a bleak existence in their suburban home. Thomas (Owen Campbell) is the youngest, and he needs human blood to survive. He isn’t a typical fright-fare vampire, though. He is weak, often barely able to move without the help of his siblings, and totally dependent on them to survive. His brother Dwight (Patrick Fugit) rounds up unsuspecting homeless people under the guise of driving them to a shelter, and then takes them home where sister Jessie (Ingrid Sophie Schram) does the nasty business of draining the victims’ blood into

Review: Supernatural: The Complete Series Box Set

One of my favorite things is opening my door to find boxes, so when I heard a knock at my door Monday I came out to find a big heavy box I was thrilled. I cut the tape and open the top and found bunches of paper stuffing. As I began digging I was excited to find my new “Supernatural: The Complete Series” Blu-ray/DVD box set. Let me tell you about it. This incredible, moving, action-packed series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam and Jensen Ackles as Dean, the Winchester brothers. Created by Eric Kripke the hit series has spanned fifteen seasons. While it is a horror series, “Supernatural” is at its heart about family. Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, since day one, have always been on a mission to rid the world of dangerous monsters, but along the way, they have formed their own unique family while trying to save the world and each other from all types of monsters,
