‘Hocus Pocus 2’ In The Works At Disney

On Friday, the stars of Hocus Pocus had a reunion to benefit a charity. The big question is will three ever reunite for a sequel? The answer is hopefully yes! Variety is reporting that Disney Plus is currently working on a sequel. While the sequel has been stuck in development for a while now, the charity event has renewed the public’s interest. Though no casting or plot details have been released, we do know that Hocus Pocus 2 will be directed by Adam Shankman, which we first reported on earlier this year. Both Shankman and Disney have stated multiple times that they are both hoping Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will return as the Sanderson Sisters. After all these years, Hocus Pocus, originally released back in 1993, still remains one of the most-watched Halloween. In the movie, a boy wakes the Sanderson Sisters from their sleep after centuries by lighting the black flamed candle. While trying to

New Series Based On Classic Movie ‘Willow’ Coming To Disney+

Back in 2012 Disney purchased LucasFilm and got a lot more than just the Star Wars franchise. Now that Disney+ is up and running it’s no surprise that one of their upcoming projects is something from the Lucasfilm library. The studio is making a new series based on the Willow trilogy and it will not be a remake or reboot. According to reports, the series will be a continuance of the story. LA Times reported back in December that Screenwriter Jon Kasdan had been brought onboard by Disney and has already completed the script for the pilot issue. It appears that Kasdan has now confirmed the news. Kasdan took to twitter yesterday and posted a picture of a hat featuring the film’s titular character hanging in his office. https://twitter.com/JonKasdan/status/1214301547695226881 The 1988 film followed a sorcerer named Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) who rescued Elora, a baby girl, from an evil sorceress. Along with a warrior (Val Kilmer), they fight to bring

Disney Rebooting ‘Alien’

Thanks to Disney’s merger with Fox, the mouse house now owns a massive amount of movie rights, including the Alien franchise. They’re not wasting any time and already have plans to reboot Alien, according to WeGotThisCovered.com. With Disney reluctant to release anything R-rated, you may be wondering how the reboot will go. CEO Bob Iger has made it clear that they will not be watering down future films of the franchise, but it appears they will be going back to the drawing board for a new version. There is no news on when it will begin filming. Hopefully, it won’t end up like this: Alien isn’t the only franchise getting a reboot, Predator will be too at some point. When will Hollywood just leave the classics alone? We don’t need reboots of either classic films. Enough is enough.

What’s This? Nightmare Before Christmas Is Getting A New Movie?!

Back in 1993, just in time for Halloween, Tim Burton‘s classic The Nightmare Before Christmas opened in theaters and became a classic. Directed by Henry Selick, the stop-animation film featured Fright Night’s Chris Sarandon as the voice of Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town. During the movie Jack discovers Christmas Town and decides to put his spin on the holiday, only to fail and realize that he belongs in Halloween Town with Sally. Since the movie achieved cult status, Disney has re-released it several times and even created a ride based on the movie at Disney Land. It’s a bit of a surprise it hasn’t gotten a spin-off or sequel yet, but something is coming according to Moviehole. Moviehole has a credible source that is reporting that Disney is “doing something with Nightmare Before Christmas – probably a sequel but a live-action adaptation is very possible.” Disney has been on a mission to turn their classic animated features into

Possible Charges For ‘Dumbest Criminal’ Logan Paul

Logan Paul, disgraced YouTuber, overnight has-been, internet nobody, and now the “Dumbest Criminal” in Japan’s history. Earlier this month, Japanese police announced they wanted to talk to Paul in regards to the video of him and his friends filming the body of a suicide victim while joking about it. Though the original controversy surrounded him using the victim as a prop it turned out he used Japan as a whole as a prop for his vlogs and as a result, he’s possibly facing four misdemeanor charges mainly involving disturbing the peace and traffic violations. An ex-detective gave Paul the title of being the “dumbest criminal” because he willingly filmed himself breaking the law, you can see a “highlight reel” put together by Nextshark below. The Japanese criminal justice system is way different than the US’s; you’re guilty until proven innocent. Before you go “That’s barbaric and wrong!” here’s why, the Japanese police and Japanese society as a whole has a

Logan Paul Uses Suicide Victim’s Corpse As A Prop For New Video

Youtube celebrity Logan Paul became the world’s most hated person two days into 2018. Paul ‘s claim to fame began with comedic Vine videos he made with his brother, Jake before the two moved to Youtube and became “Internet Famous”, a term often used to describe Youtube fame. Some of the following information may be considered disturbing. On December 31st, 2017, Paul posted a vlog (video blog) of him and his friends going to Aokigahara, Japan’s famed “Suicide Forest” where people often go to commit suicide in the dense forest. The vlog, as he reportedly stated in the video was to be a “funny vlog”, so going to a place known for mass suicides is the best choice (I’m being very facetious). While in the forest, Paul and crew came across the remains of a young man hanging from a tree. The face was blurred out but you can clearly see the body slumped against a tree. Paul who’s wearing

The Little Mermaid – Pain, Love, and Death

Years ago, when I was in school, the entirety of students were shuffled into the gym for a long-forgotten reason, sat down on the hard, wooden floor and “The Little Mermaid” was projected for us all to watch. I think that my favorite part of this Disney version was the singing seagull who walloped through the hit song “Kiss the Girl” with guttural la-la-las until he was physically silenced by the little red crab. I loved the juxtaposition of a happy little tune on a romantic date trying to set the mood for some smooching and this seagull is bellowing in the background just trying to fit in…why is he the only animal in the whole Disney-oceanic world who can’t sing? In this well-known version of this cartoon the foul-singing fowl is painful on the ears, but the original story is filled to the brim with pain and misery. Hans Christian Anderson wrote a tale of a young mermaid who
