New Clip From Horror Anthology ‘Realm Of Shadows’ Starring Tony Todd

We’ve got a brand new clip from the upcoming horror anthology Realm of Shadows, from directors Jimmy Drain and Brian McCulley. This much-anticipated film is a world of mystery, possession, and shadows in an anthology of short horror-themed tales woven into a full-length feature presentation. Even the most shocking stories are based on true events. The movie has a killer cast of horror icons that includes Tony Todd (Candyman), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Mel Novak (Bruse Lee’s Game of Death), Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5), and rising stars Jimmy Drain (The Initiation opposite Vern Wells), Lauren C.Mayhew (“Dexter”), and Vida Ghaffari (Eternal Code opposite Scout Taylor- Compton). Todd plays Fr. Dudley, a long time Catholic priest, dedicated to his profession. Fr. Dudley must watch out for his close friend Robby Duray, played by Drain, during a testing time in Robby’s life. He also takes on the volatile task of taming Robby’s diabolic alter ego, and steering him away from

Shudder Original ‘Impetigore’ Premieres Later This Month

Writer-director Joko Anwar’s hit horror film Impetigore (aka Perempuan Tanah Jahanam) is set to premiere on Shudder later this month. In the film, Maya with her best friend, Dini, tries to survive in a city without a family. She realized that she might inherit property from her rich family. Maya returns to the village with Dini and unaware of the danger was waiting for her. Joko Anwar is a master of modern horror, and Satan’s Slaves is one of the most loved — and scariest — movies on Shudder. We couldn’t wait to work with him again and are thrilled to share his scary, visceral and darkly sinister Impetigore with Shudder members,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager. Impetigore is my love letter to horror movies I grew up with, slashers, ghost stories, wrapped in a tragic family drama not unlike my family. I’m excited to be working again with Shudder to bring Impetigore to their members around the world,”

A Local Legend Comes To Life In Shudder Original “Lake Death” (Trailer)

From director Nini Bull Robsahm comes the Shudder Original Lake of Death, Starring Iben Akerlie, Jacob Andersen Schøyen, Jonathan Harboe, Sophia Lie, and Elias Mun. The film is set a year after her twin brother mysteriously disappeared. Lillian and her friends head to the old family cabin to say their goodbyes. But soon after they arrive, eerie and gruesome events begin to occur. As the lines between reality and Lillian’s nightmares blur, she must fight both an external and internal struggle to stay alive. Is a horrific local legend becoming reality, or is the real enemy among them? Director Nini Bull Robsahm (Amnesia) took inspiration from Norway’s popular 1942 novel (and later film adaptation) of the same name (De dødes tjern), credited with sparking the country’s interest in horror. Robsahm shot Lake of Death on stunning 35mm and brought on Academy Award-winner Bob Murawski (Army of Darkness, Drag Me to Hell, The Hurt Locker) to edit. Lake of Death debuts

Blu-ray Review: Revenge of the Living Dead Girls (1987)

While getting his fuck on with a comely injured hitchhiker, a dairy delivery dude has his milk cargo sabotaged by a mystery man on a motorcycle. The poison milk begins to kill young women (one of which apparently has a habit of eating breakfast with her mother while wearing see-thru lingerie as so many of us do), but we soon discover that the murder biz wasn’t intended by those behind the poisoning, who had hoped for mere “gut-wrenching illness” instead. Simultaneously, a German owned company (whom all of the poisoned girls worked for) is paying cash-money to have their toxic runoff dumped in a nearby cemetery, which naturally resurrects those aforementioned poison victims… and these zombie gals are hellbent for revenge let me tell ya… well after gingerly walking through the graveyard trying not to fall on their collective asses as gobs of manufactured smoke makes every step a hazard that is… And what a revenge it is, as our

Adrian Glynn McMorran Sheds Light On His Roles In ‘Volition’ And “Arrow”

Adrian Glynn McMorran stars in director and co-writer Tony Dean Smith’s soon to be released film Volition. I sat down with McMorran to discuss his role in the sci-fi action thriller about a man who sees glimpses of the future and sets out to save a young woman, played by Magda Apanowicz. McMorran is not new to exciting films, he’s appeared in films like The Revenant and Warcraft. But you will probably most recognize the talented actor from his role as Michael Amar aka Murmur on CW’s “Arrow.” Horror Fuel: “You did a nice run on Arrow as Murmur. What was that experience like?” McMorran: “It was really cool. For some reason on TV, I end up playing a lot of bad guys. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s weird because like in the theater world when I do stage stuff I’m more like a Max Glee kind of guy. I guess I look mean on camera. Arrow was fun

Artist Spotlight: Giuseppe Balestra

A little while back I did a review of the new fantastic Ghostbusters Art Book, a collection of amazing artists paying tribute to the iconic movie. In my review, I listed some of my favorite pieces, the poster by the incredibly talented artist Giuseppe Balestra. I feel that Giuseppe’s artwork deserves a more in-depth look. Born in Rome and raised in South Italy, the artist prefers using pen and inks, cross-hatching and stippling, before eventually combining digital color, drawing inspiration from literature, movies, especially horror and fantasy. I like to create illustrations in which the darkness of the shadows stands in contrast to the light. They’ve been called “melancholic, mysterious and poetic. I’ve always loved doing art since I was a child, always experimenting with all kinds of media. I published my first work in late 2015 in The Lovecraft eZine vol.36 and since then I’ve been doing it professionally, working on internal illustrations and covers for books, posters, and

DVD Review: Game of Death (2020)

Game of Death goes as follows: a group of hard partyin’ millennial-types do the whole gamut of drinkin’ druggin’ and dirty lovin’ until they find something new to occupy their vacuous noodles; namely playing a board game that requires the players to kill one another or else the game will do the murder biz via making the player’s heads explode! Now, will our hapless heroes have the stones to play the game to it’s conclusion, or will they all end up a heap of headless hosers? Before we get to the one glaring negative with this fright flick, let’s start with some good vibes, shall we? The concept of the killer game, and how it’s presented is tight and outta sight, and the story itself (courtesy of scribes Edouard H. Bond, Sebastien Landry, Laurence Morais-Lagaceis, and Philip Kalin-Hajdu) is aces, as is the slick n’ stylish direction from Landry and Morais-Lagaceis that blends elements of found footage, animation, 8-bit graphics

Watch The Brutal Red Band Trailer For Shudder’s ‘Random Acts Of Violence’

A cult-hit in the making, Jay Baruchel’s long-anticipated Random Acts of Violence, adapted from the popular 2010 horror graphic novel by the same name, is a force to reckon with. The Canadian filmmaker and actor, best known for his comedic bow in This is the End and as the voice of Hiccup in the How to Train Your Dragon series, has long been committed to bringing Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti’s brutal pages to the big screen, and wrote, directed, produced and stars in the upcoming film. The brand new Red Band trailer teases a bloody and brutal film that explores ideas of legitimizing cruelty, the responsibility of the artist, and what makes a monster in society. Masterfully lensed by award-winning cinematographer Karim Hussain (Hobo With a Shotgun, Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor), the film holds a ferocious mirror up to art, society, and violence. What are the real consequences when life begins to imitate art? Comic book creator Todd Walkley (Jesse

Blu-Ray Review: Ozone (1995)

There’s a new drug on the mean streets called Ozone, and it has the nasty habit of making those that take it explode… and those are the lucky ones! Enter: Detective Eddie Boone (James Black), who finds himself injected with Ozone while on a bust that also results in his partner, Mike (Tom Hoover) being maimed and abducted by a gang of Ozone “zombies”. Now Boone must search for his partner while suffering nightmarish Ozone hallucinations, and contending with the monstrous mutant addicts that stand in his way! Shot on Super VHS-C, for next to no cash, Ozone is punk rock fright flick filmmaking at it’s best! Director/Co-writer J.R. Bookwalter (along with Co-writer David A. Wagner) creates a truly unique vision of endless mutations, body-melts, Cenobite-style punks, and gallons of grizzly gore (most realized via excellent practical effects work, though some early CG “morphs” are utilized as well) that parade around a world just a few minutes ahead of our

John Jarratt Confirms New ‘Wolf Creek’ Season And Movie

The future of the Wolf Creek franchise has been in question for a while now. But that has just changed. Star John Jarratt took to social media this week teasing that Wolf Creek has two new projects in the works, but like many others is stuck in Covid limbo. To my delight – I have received an overwhelming amount of messages about Wolf Creek 3 – the season and the movie. [Franchise creator/director] Greg McLean and I have both projects in the works but unfortunately Covid-19 has the world at a standstill. I promise to keep you updated as we all try our best to get through these tough times.” Jarratt wrote. Jarratt stars as stone-cold serial killer Mick Taylor who roams the Aussie Outback, first conning victims with his rugged charms to bring them in before brutally murdering them. The original film, written and directed by Greg McLean, was released back in 2005 with the sequel following in 2013.
