Ice Nine Kills Drops New Album ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood’ (Trailer)

Fans the world over can rejoice today as the brand new, full-length offering from Slashercore icons, Ice Nine Kills is unearthed from its horrific, blood-soaked resting place. The highly-anticipated new album, ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood‘ is out now via Fearless Records. Like the undead slashers celebrated in their songs, Ice Nine Kills returns with The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, a sequel of gruesome movie-sized proportion to their No. 1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, The Silver Scream. Welcome to Horrorwood carves out a fresh, bloody homage to the VHS celluloid classics that possessed singer and driving creative force, Spencer Charnas at an early age, with a devilish new twist. Speaking on his band’s latest slab of horrifying brutality, Charnas states, “True to horror franchise tradition, there is always a sequel! Our new album, ‘Welcome To Horrorwood’, follows in the bloody footsteps of its predecessor, paying tribute to some of the most gruesome tales to ever grace

WARRIOR PATH brings us THE MAD KING

Two years have passed since the self-titled debut of Warrior Path that hit the world’s Underground Metal scene like the Hammer of Thor, getting everything from raving reviews to scoring the highest ranks on various “Album Of The Year” lists. Continuing their journey, main-man and songwriter Andreas Sinanoglou and musician/producer Bob Katsionis (Firewind/Outloud/Serious Black) along with drummer Dave Rundle, are coming back with another epic tale, the tale of “The Mad King”. This time they are joined by one of the most legendary singers in the history of Power Metal, Swedish vocal phenomenon Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon) taking the torch from Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black). Musically, the band seems to have evolved in all aspects, leaving the obvious influences and forging their own sound: The excessive number of ballads of the debut gave its place to furious songs, the Iron Maiden-ish twin harmonies became epic metal riffs, while the production itself is “warmer” and even louder and punchier than

METAL! Greek headbangers, Silent Winter, release new track

METAL! METAL! AND MORE METAL! Born of Greece, metal band Silent Winter have been playing together since 1995. Their members include Kiriakos Balanos on guitars and keys, John Antonopoulos on drums, Mike Livas on vocals, Vaggelis Papadimitriou on guitar, and Vaggelis Tsekouras on bass. I would describe them as progressive metal with hints of influence from Dio and Iron Maiden. The new track is called Gates Of Fire. It is a rally song of battle seemingly a retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae within the Persian Wars. Silent Winter is face melting metal and their new single leaves no face safe. Check out the lyrics video here. The Greek power-metallers from Thessaly, Silent Winter, released the first lyric video from their long-awaited upcoming new album “Empire of Sins” for the track “Gates of Fire”. The video was created by Harry Kountouris, who was also responsible for the equally excellent video for the song “Nightfall”, which Silent Winter released a year

Headbang While Killing Demons In ‘Metal: Hellsinger’

Funcom and game dev The Outsiders today revealed their upcoming first-person shooter that pits players against demons while listening to heavy metal, Metal: Hellsinger. Metal: Hellsinger is a Rhythm-FPS meaning that players shoot in time to the music the more effective their shots are plus the more intense the music becomes and let’s face it, when it comes to metal, you want to throw up some horns. The soundtrack for the game is original and will feature vocals from metal’s popular singers, at the time of writing this Matt Heafy of Trivium and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy are in the game. Each level has its own song that will start off as background music but as players successfully keep the beat by the end of the level the song should become a powerful anthem! The game’s creative director, David Goldfarb, is known to FPS players as he was lead designer to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, and

It’s being announced today via social media that Japanese guitarist Mikio Fujioka has passed away. On Fujioka’s twitter account his wife made the announcement that he died on January 5th at the age of 36. Fujioka fell from an astronomical observation deck on December 30th while stargazing. His health took a turn for the worse and passed away from his injuries with his two daughters present at the moment of his death. Fujioka published ten guitar textbooks and was a lecturer at a music school in Japan but he’s mostly known from being part of the Kami Band (originally referred to as the Gods of Metal), a group made up of five musicians who are members of other bands or work on solo projects but come together to be the band for Japan’s Kawaii-Metal music group BABYMETAL. Consumed By Nightmares: An Interview With Integrity’s Dwid Hellion

Integrity is a band that has been crafting malevolent, horror-influenced metallic hardcore for nearly thirty years. As pitch-dark as it is sonically brutal, Integrity’s music has influenced countless hardcore, punk, death/thrash/black metal, and grind/noise acts. The band’s twelfth full-length album, Howling, for the Nightmare Shall Consume is set to be released on Friday, July 14 on Relapse Records, and Horror Fuel was able to speak with Integrity’s frontman, Dwid Hellion, on topics ranging from the release of the new record, to his favorite fright flicks and the horror of the Bible. Horror Fuel: Howling… is the tenth tenth full length from Integrity. How would you compare it to previous releases? Dwid Hellion: I would not compare any of the albums with one another. They each have their own personality and sound. Though, they are still recognizable as Integrity albums, they each offer a sound that differs from the others. Darkness Visible is Keeping Horror in Metal!

Horrorfuel.com got contacted earlier today by the band Darkness Visible. This Australian-based theater rock band are part of a segment of the horror world that I feel is far too underestimated and far too rarely recognized. I wrote an article a little bit ago about an Alice Cooper concert and how he was the godfather of horror-music: well, if Mr. Cooper is the godfather, he can certainly be proud of his Darkness Visible children. Bassist David Black wants the world to know that his band is releasing their ninth music video and that this one is “a bit over the top.” The song is called Breaking Point. Tragically, I had not heard of this band yet so I did some research. I watched the other eight videos and they are truly mini horror movies with accompanying music to tell a tale of darkness. I loved them. What I did wonder about is what “a bit over the top” meant. Well,
