A supernatural entity is unleashed after a group of teens plays a Bloody Mary-style game in Queen of Spades, by director Patrick White. “According to legend, an ominous entity known as the Queen of Spades can be summoned by performing an ancient ritual. Those brave enough draw a door and a staircase on a mirror, in darkness, and say her name three times. What happens next must be experienced to be believed. Four teenagers decide to summon the Queen of Spades as a joke. “Day Of The Dead” Series Premieres This Fall On SyFy

SyFy is gearing up to deliver a new 10-episode series that is a new spin on George A. Romero’s 1985 movie Day of the Dead, titled – you guessed it – “Day of the Dead“. Variety is reporting that the series will now premiere this fall. Written by showrunners and executive producers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, the series centers on six strangers fighting to survive the first 24 hours of the zombie apocalypse. Steven Kostanski, who is directing four of the series’ episodes in the first season has teased that the new series will have ties to the classic horror movie. However, he couldn’t go into detail. The series is produced by Jeff Holland and Drew Brown for Cartel and HiTide Studios’ Jeff Holland, Stan Spry, and Drew Brown are also producing. Steven Kostanski will also serve as executive producer.

Movie Review: Son (2021)

How far would you go to save your child? That’s the question posed in writer-director Ivan Kavanagh’s horror-thriller Son. In the film, a young boy contracts a mysterious illness, experiencing horrific pain and seizures. His mother, Laura (Andi Matichak) must decide how far she will go to protect him from terrifying forces in her past. I can’t imagine how terrified Laura was throughout the film, but I do know how well Andi Matichak played the role. She really put her heart into making Laura feel authentic and the emotional chaos Laura experiences feels real. Laura is a strong character with an interesting and horrific backstory. She’s a character you can both find sympathetic and see her strength. And her character development was nicely done. As for detective Paul, Emile Hirsch had me fleeced up to the last moments of the film. I did not see that twist coming, and I should have and it was a great idea. Hirsch did

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will be different from 2016’s movie. For one, it won’t be PG-13 like its predecessor.
