John Carpenter Is Taking Us Back Into ‘The Fog’ For New Sequel

John Carpenter took us into The Fog in 1980. Now, we will be returning. The Master of Horror has announced that a sequel to his ghostly film is currently in the early stages of development, ScreenRant reports. And get this, Carpenter is on board for the film. The Fog is set in a coastal California town, Antonio Bay. We watch as mysterious mist envelopes the town as its residents prepare for a centennial celebration of the town’s founding. But the celebration is cut short as the town is invaded by deadly guests, the spirits of mariners who were killed when their ship went down long ago. Carpenter’s film did not get a lot of love when it was released. The 2005 remake got even less, being disliked by critics and viewers alike. But maybe this time things will go more swimmingly. Keke Palmer Joins Daniel Kaluuya For New Horror Movie From Jordan Peele

It’s been a minute since we’ve had an update on Jordan Peele’s upcoming, still untitled, movie. Today, we’ve learned (via Deadline) that “Scream: The TV Series” actress and recording artist Keke Palmer is set to star as the movie’s antagonist. Palmer will be joining Daniel Kaluuya who played the lead role in Peele’s masterful genre debut Get Out. Plot details for the movie are being kept quiet at the moment, but Peele has teased that the movie will be scarier than both Get Out and Us. Hopefully, as the July 22, 2022 release date nears we will be able to share more. Peele will direct from the script he penned as well as produce under his Monkeypaw Productions.

New ‘Paranormal Activity’ Movie Coming From Franchise Writer Christopher Landon

Christopher Landon, the man behind Happy Death Day and most recently the body swap horror Freaky (review) is returning to write the next installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise for Blumhouse. Landon was also behind the second, third, and fourth films of the franchise as well as 2014’s Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Get this, William Eubanks who recently brought us the deep-sea monster movie Underwater (review) will be in the director’s chair for the found footage flick, THR reports. According to THR, the project is “being described by insiders as an “unexpected retooling” of the franchise, being made by Paramount Players.” Franchise producer Oren Peli and Jason Blum of Blumhouse are on board to produce the new installment of Paranormal Activity which is slated to arrive on March 4, 2022.

I’ve been eagerly waiting to get my hands on a copy of the animatronic horror Willy’s Wonderland from writer G.O. Parsons (interview) and director Kevin Lewis. Tonight, I finally did, and let me say, I was not disappointed. In the movie, Nicolas Cage stars as a quiet drifter tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy’s Wonderland, a twisted version of Chucky Cheese. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Right off to bat, we meet Cage’s character after he flattens the tires of his badass car on a spike strip.
