Movie Review: 4/20 Massacre is an Impressive Modern Slasher Flick!

I usually find stoner flicks to be absolutely dreadful, pandering, horsecrap of the highest order…like I’d rather have hepatitis of the asshole than watch one. So imagine my absolute delight when 4/20 Massacre darkened my doorstep… The story of 4/20 Massacre goes as follows: 5 young ladies head out into the woods over the 4/20 “holiday” to celebrate their friend Jess’ (played by the ever-welcome Jamie Bernadette giving another kick-ass performance) birthday. Upon arrival they are given a dire warning from the local Forest Ranger (a tour de force performance from James Storm) to stick to the trails and avoid the hill country which is home to some hard-ass pot farmers…like of the murderous variety. Being the experienced woodspeople that they are, the women get lost almost immediately, and have a run in with a shell-shocked dude that escaped one of those said hard-asses mentioned a sentence ago. Kyra Sedgwick And Jeffery Donovan Join Bill Skarsgård In ‘Villians’

Last week, Bill Skarsgård (It) and Maika Monroe (It Follows) boarded Dan Berk and Robert Olsen’s dark comedy thriller Villians, set to begin principal photography in New York this week. Berk and Olsen will direct from their script, which made the 2016 Black List. Today we report that Kyra Sedgwick (The Woodsmen) and “Burn Notice” actor Jeffery Donovan have also joined the cast. In the film, after breaking into a suburban home, a pair of amateur criminals stumble upon a dark secret and two sadistic homeowners who will do anything to keep their secret from getting out. Star Thrower’s Tim and Trevor White are producing along with Allan Mandelbaum and The Realm’s Garrick Dion. Aaron L. Gilbert and Jason Cloth are serving as executive producers.

‘Monster Goat’ In Viral Video Is No Monster

During the last 24/48 hours, a video went viral on the internet showing what looks like a nightmarish spawn that was the result of a from a Lovecraft story and a fever dream going home together from the bar. Yes, the video is in fact real. No, it’s no monster or freak of nature; it’s a goat, a normal goat. An Update On New Line’s ‘Friday The 13th’ Reboot

Just as production was set to begin on a new Friday the 13th reboot from director Breck Eisner (The Crazies), the brakes were hit. Not much has been said about the situation, until now. Rights to the franchise are set to revert back to New Line sometime next year. But a lawsuit from the original film’s writer Victor Miller (interview) may cause problems for the studio. ArrowInTheHead.com recently talked with Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller about the situation. One of the biggest heartbreaks of the last couple years was that we were about to make that movie and it fell apart. New Line Cinema’s video game to film adaptation of Rampage will be arriving one week earlier than previously announced. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in the film directed by Brad Peyton who he worked together with on San Andreas. Serial Killer Pedro Rodrigues Filho, The Real “Dexter”

You rarely see a good serial killer, but if you had to cheer one on it would probably be “Dexter”. You might be surprised to learn that there was a real serial killer that would give Dexter a run for his money. Meet Pedro Rodrigues Filho. Filho committed at least 70 murders. He started young, killing at least 10 by the age of 18. His choice of victims sets him apart from the crowd, he didn’t target the average person, instead, he went after other criminals and those he felt had wronged him. ‘Boar’ Trailer Finally Released…And It Is Gory

The movie poster from the sure-to-be-gory film ‘Boar’ was just release, but now we have a trailer to go with it! The film will debut at the Brussels International Film Festival on April 13. One think I am most excited for (and it is very wonderfully obvious in the trailer) is the use of actual effects instead of CGI. That fact alone is enough for me to check out the film! In the harsh, yet beautiful Australian Outback lives a beast, an animal of staggering size, with a ruthless, driving need for blood and destruction.
