Earlier today we reported the A Quiet Place II has been delayed again, but it’s not the only movie to keep getting pushed back. The new comic-inspired Jared Leto movie Morbius has just been delayed again as well. UGH! Most recently set to sink its fangs into theaters in October and then in March, Morbius will now arrive early in 2022.

Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU), Morbius stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.

Tyrese Gibson stars as FBI agent Simon Stroud; Jared Harris (“The Terror”) plays Morbius’ mentor; Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”) plays the film’s villain Loxias Crown; and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is Morbius’ love interest.

Daniel Espinosa (Life) directs from the script penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the Morbius character created by writer Roy Thomas which made its debut in Amazing Spider-Man #101.

We’ve got our fingers crossed that Morbius will actually land in theaters on January 21, 2022.
