A new trailer has arrived for Marvel’s Morbius, giving us a glimpse of Morbius’ origin story and a ton of bloody action.
Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.
Tyrese Gibson stars as FBI agent Simon Stroud; Jared Harris (“The Terror”) plays Morbius’ mentor; Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”) plays the film’s villain Loxias Crown; and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is Morbius’ love interest.
Daniel Espinosa (Life) directs from the script penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the Morbius character created by writer Roy Thomas which made its debut in Amazing Spider-Man #101.
After multiple, and I mean multiple delays, Morbius is reportedly set to land in theaters on January 28, 2022. Let’s hope this release date actually sticks.
