Netflix has just announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated Korean supernatural series, “Hellbound”, from the director of Train to Busan. In the series, a detective, a lawyer, and a journalist set out to investigate the link between a mysterious cult leader and beings who have descended to earth to condemn people to hell. The series centers on the strange events which are tied to the rise of a religious sect called New Truth. Yoo Ah-in (Burning, #Alive) plays the leader of the cult, Jung Jin-soo, while Yang Ik-june (Breathless) plays a widowed detective Jin Kyung-hoon, and Park Jung-min (Time to Hunt) stars as the journalist. Kim Hyun-joo (Glass Slippers) plays the lawyer. Yeon Sang-ho developed the series with Choi Gyu-seok based on the duo’s webtoon Hell. After a long wait, the first glimpse at the upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s “The Sandman” is finally here. The footage was released during this weekend’s TADUM event. Much of the footage depicts Dream’s imprisonment along with a group trying to capture Death. The official synopsis goes like this: “A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven, The Sandman follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.” The series, which Gaiman will executive produce, also stars Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Niamh Walsh as Ethel Cripps, David Thewlis as John Dee, Kyo Ra as

Following a recent episode of “What If…” on Disney Plus, there is a rumor that the MCU is making a live-action movie based on the Marvel Zombies. Even though we’ve heard this before, the rumor seems to be somewhat credible seeing that Mark Miller (Kick-Ass, Kingsman), the comic book creator who first brought the story to life, recently released an email newsletter teasing that a live-action film is on its way. …also (if my sources are correct) a little live-action Marvel Zombies further down the line, but you never heard that from me. The comic “Marvel Zombies” first debuted in 2005 and was a five-issue limited series set in an alternate universe where the world’s superhero population has been infected with a virus that turned them into zombies. While writing Ultimate Fantastic Four, Mark Millar decided to introduce an alternate Earth populated by zombies in a “Crossover” featured in issues #21-23. Over the weekend, fans tuned in to San Diego Comic-Con@Home as the Legendary Comics team, Robert Napton (SVP), Nikita Kannekanti (Senior Editor), and Jann Jones (Director), were joined by extraordinary comic creators for the Legendary Comics 2021 and Beyond! panel. Among the many exciting and original titles discussed, the virtual panel shared a special look at the newly launched Legendary Comics YA imprint, including the imprint’s first released OGN Championess from its impressive slate, as well as debuted an exclusive look at the motion trailers for upcoming YA original graphic novels The Heart Hunter and Lupina. The Heart Hunter is set on the cursed island of Envecor. A place where everyone is doomed to wear their heart outside their body and are immortal—unable to die, to change, to have children — until they find their soul mate.
