German indie game developer Mooneye Studios allowed me the honor to take a crack at Lost Ember, their debut game. This third-person adventure game takes you the adventure of a wolf with the ability to shape-shift into other animals as you explore lands once occupied by a civilization of people called the Yanrana. As mentioned, you play as a wolf. But there’s more to that, the wolf in a past life was a member of the Yanrana people whose soul is not permitted to pass to the afterlife. Fate brings the wolf together with the lost soul of a long-dead Yanrana who needs help passing to the next life; these are known as “Lost Embers”. Dyeing For Honor, Game Review Of ‘Story Of A Gladiator’

Indie game developer Brain Seal Entertainment gave me the opportunity to prove myself to the gods by entering the fighting arenas of ancient Rome to show myself worthy! Or at least virtually with the help of their game Story of a Gladiator. This 2D beat ‘em up tells the story of a man of humble beginnings fighting his way to the top for glory as a gladiator with the hopes of competing at the Coliseum. Players can pick three different characters at the beginning of the game where each individual has their own perks, a Greek, a Carthaginian (North African), or Egyptian. There are three areas that you fight in, Capua in Greece, Neapolis in Carthage, and the Coliseum in the heart of the Roman Empire. In each arena has levels that are full of waves of enemies you must defeat in order to advance as well as earn coins and XP to build up your rankings and buy better

Game Review: ‘Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts’ Hits A Bullseye!

CI Games was kind enough to allow me the chance to go to the Siberian wilderness and pop some melons with their latest FPS Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. I like sniper games so this was an exciting chance for me to experience one of the most complex ones I’ve played to date! In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts you play as a mercenary known simply as “The Seeker”, who has been hired to enter the Republic of Siberia to help bring down its newly formed government all the while testing out a new technologically advanced mask and suit. Depending on the tasks completed for each mission and assignation contracts being met, The Seeker will be paid handsomely. Onto the game itself, first off, the physics of this game is very realistic. All “teenager” Roxy Miller (Marilyn Manning who appears to be pushing thirty) wanted was to get her ass to a local shindig… too bad she almost hits Eegah (Richard Kiel, best known as Jaws from the James Bond series), a gigantic mother fuckin’ caveman, with her car… which is more common than one would assume. Movie Review: Anyone Home? (2018)

Camila (Monique Gabriela Curnen) is a single parent to Jamie (Luke Ganalon), and she’s in one hell of a bad way… the pair have lived in a motel, and Camila has some mental health baggage that’s for sure. Everything begins coming up Cammy though, and she lands a gig as a live-in housekeeper for a swank-ass model home (surrounded by desert) that must be kept clean and decorated at all times so prospective buyers can be enticed to separate themselves from their dough and move into the as-yet unpopulated development. Speaking of “decorating” and “unpopulated”; the isolation and pressure to keep the place lookin’ fancy begin playing on her already wonky brain, and before long Big C begins going shit-house! Gwendoline (Tawny Kitaen) ships herself to China in a wooden box, and is immediately kidnapped upon her arrival to the Far East. Thankfully for her, rough and tumble sailin’ man Willard (Brent Huff) comes to her rescue and takes up the task of helping our heroine locate the butterfly her butterfly (that’s a lot of “butterfly” in one sentence… oh, shit… ) collector father went missing in the mythic land of the Yik Yak trying to find… for a fee of course. Along the way our erstwhile heroes must contend with river pirates, cannibals, poisonous clouds, and a tribe of Amazons that live in a hi-tech mine deep below the Earth… a serious ordeal all for a simple butterfly! Want to know something that exemplifies the surreal nature of The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak? Psychopath-in-training Roy (Maxwell Caulfield) and his naive buddy Bo (Charlie Sheen) are recently graduated high school outcasts (they were the white trash in an institution populated by the rich). Not really keen on becoming factory workers just yet, the boys take an impromptu vacay down L.A. way. So what do two young boys do for fun? Why cause grave bodily harm to a gas station attendant, old lady, and some bodacious babes in barely there bikinis of course, as one does. Mild-mannered dry-cleaning delivery man Howard (Robert Gribbin) lives with his mother, enjoys putting together model kits and drinking root beer… and has a propensity for raping (the female ones anyway) and killing hitchhikers that have runaway from home and hate their mommies… an admittedly niche demographic, but Howard is rather successful in his murder biz all the same. Movie Review: ‘The Lost Footage of Leah Sullivan’ Should Stay Lost

A young woman sets out to make a documentary for school about a hometown murder. As the mystery unravels, Leah Sullivan, with the help of a local cop, begins to believe that something even more sinister happed to the slain family. She must ask herself, just how a rash of missing people is connected. This movie is the perfect example of found footage gone wrong. Ninty-five percent of the footage is bouncing, swaying, and fast-moving, it actually left me nauseous. What’s worse is that the last few minutes are filmed in pitch black with a single small-beam flashlight lighting the way making it nearly impossible to see anything. In between the action, we see what would have been cut if she had edited her documentary. Those scenes came across forced, fake, and over the top. The cop character, played by Burt Grinstead, is a bit unbelievable. Not many cops would break law after law after law for a stranger. The

Douglas (Michael fuckin’ Biehn baby), a record salesman by trade, has a side gig absolutely obsessing over actress Sally Ross (Lauren Bacall). Nothing wrong with a lil’ celebrity crush right? Well, not in this case because ol’ Doug is crazy as a shithouse rat, and when his letters begin to be rebuked by Sally’s secretary Belle (Maureen Stapleton) he gets even more crazed… like slashin’ and/or putting the murder biz on those closest to her while she rehearses one of the cheesiest musicals ever created.
