Ever wondered what it would be like to be in the bowels of Hell? Well, Madmind Studio must have thought that because they made a game about it, meet Agony, a survival horror game in first-person that takes players to the unforgiving underworld. Players take on the role of a tormented soul deep in Hell who is on a mission to leave hell behind and the only way to do so is to meet the “Red Goddess” Agony. Players will have to traverse the literal hellish landscape and encounter demons and other tormented souls. You will have the ability to use mind control on other humanoid beings and eventually be able to use it on demons as well, giving you the edge. Players have to use stealth at times to avoid demons and solving puzzles in order to go on to other levels. The game is due to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 29th

While Hollywood is obsessed with putting things into tornados, the corners of the internet have a hidden gem, a webcomic titled Bearmageddon by Ethan Nicolle. Ethan has been making comics for years with his most notable work being Axe Cop that was created by his little brother (5 years old at the time) Malachai. Bearmageddon is about the sudden uprising of Grizzly Bears besieging a city is mass numbers and our heroes are a couple of 20 something slackers and a mountain man. Joel and his friend Gogs (real name Jeremy) decided to quit their jobs and live out in the wild with their two other slacker friends. While attempting to start their new life they encounter killer bears and are saved by Dickinson Killdeer, a mountain man with no memory with how he started living in the wild but is willing to help Joel find his Father and little brother who have gone missing after the bears invaded the

The team over at 11 bit studios, the makers of the critically acclaimed survival game This War of Mine, will be releasing another thought-provoking “actions have consequences” style game, Frostpunk where players take on the role of a ruler known as the “Captain” who is leading survivors to build a self-sustaining city while making some hard decisions. The story takes place in an alternate Steampunk reality of 1886. It’s summer but global temperatures have dropped well below freezing turning the world into a frozen wasteland. The player takes on the role of a leader of a group of survivors who he’s led to a gigantic furnace where they can stay warm and build a city around it. Players will have to deal with the plight of their people ranging from hunger, disease, monotony, and the human condition. Players will not only have to gather resources to build but also have to make decisions (or “events” as they’re called) that could

There are new details about OVERKILL’s upcoming co-op game, OVERKILL’S The Walking Dead. The story takes place in Washington D.C. in the middle of the zombie outbreak. Four players team up and set out to find both survivors and supplies for their base camp as they fight both the living and the dead first-person shooter style. The team has options of how they can fight in this game, either stealthily as possible or guns blazing, the choice is yours, but be ready for a hoard or two waiting. There will be four characters that have their own set of skills and upgrades as well as their own personal backstory. As of right now only two of the four characters have been named as well as character trailers for them. There’s Aiden, a former architect, and Maya, a former surgeon. Swedish metal band GHOST revealed through videos on their youtube channel the arrival of the new frontman taking over for Papa Emeritus III, Cardinal Copia. The Cardinal is nothing like his three predecessors according to Papa Nil, all came from the same pure bloodline but Cardinal Copia only got the position because of he’s Nil’s right-hand man and has a good work ethic as he was the employee of the month many times. The Cardinal along with the three past front men Papa Emeritus (I, II, III) are all portrayed by Tobias Forge. As of right now, it’s unknown if Cardinal Copia will don the skull make up the past frontmen were known for but he has the signature black eye makeup (under a latex mask) and the white eye contact lens in the left eye. Kingart Games’ Kickstarter campaign was more than just successful; it was a colossal triumph for the independent developer whose Kickstarter is only 48 hours away (at this time) from ending. What game could they have come up with that would amass such a following? Iron Harvest a game that takes place in an alternate universe where giant mechanical soldiers fight alongside infantry units in an alternate post-WWI Europe. Its 1920+ Europe is recovering from the Great War where giant mechanical soldiers stomped across battlefields. When the war ended, these mechs became part of everyday life but now forces from the shadows are planning to destabilize Europe and engulf the world into another great war where control of the world is at stake. The idea of the game came from the works of Polish artist Jakub Różalski, which depicts giant robots being used in the European countryside. Now onto the game itself! This is a Spoiler Free article! Ninja Theory has released on Xbox One today their hit game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that received positive reviews when it was on PlayStation 4 and PC. Ninja Theory allowed me to play the Xbox One version early and write a review for it. After finally completing the game, all I can say is the last time I’ve ever played a game that made me sit back and say “Wow…” after completing it was Shadow of the Colossus on PlayStation 2 back in 2006. The following are my final thoughts on Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice a game that’s both haunting and beautiful. It’s no big secret; the storyline’s core is about Senua’s mental health, this would make her relatable to the 1 in 5 American adults who suffer from all ranges of mental illnesses. The developers kept it no secret that Senua suffers from Psychosis, right now you’re probably thinking negatively of her thanks in part

Chris Le’s film Cartel 2045 takes us to the year 2045 where the drug war in Mexico has reached new heights of brutality as one of the drug cartels acquired a new weapon to strike fear in rivals and the United States, combat robots. The robots were used by the US military till an incident in Iran made them illegal. Now the company that made the robots have sold them to a Mexican drug cartel headed by Angel Malvado played by Danny Trejo (Machete, Machete Kills). Former Marine Carson Wright, played by Brad Schmidt (The Birth of a Nation, Here and Now, House of Lies) who was responsible for the incident in Iran due to a “faulty” chip that’s implanted in his head that allowed him to control combat droids, is sent to Juarez, Mexico to meet up with a special forces team sent in to rescue an engineer played by Chris Perskey (Bagboy, Hot Bot, Artifice) who’s being held

In August of 2017 indie-game developer Ninja Theory released on PlayStation 4 and PC, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The game was so popular on PS4 and PC it earned high praises from both critics and players alike as well as winning nine awards! With this success, Ninja Theory expanded the game’s potential and will release it on Xbox One on April 11th, 2018! I’ve been granted the honor by Ninja Theory to review it before it hit’s selves. All I can say now is you need to get this game! The game is heavily influenced by ancient Celtic culture along with Norse mythology, that’s enough right there to make you throw your wallets at the screen right now. The game revolves not just on the culture and mythology but on our heroine Senua’s mental health, Ninja Theory worked closely with mental health experts to make this part of the experience as real as possible, this is where the game is unique.
