Heads Will Roll: Sydney Sweeney to Star in Gothic Thriller ‘Hollow’ for Sony
Sydney Sweeney is on an absolute tear right now—fresh off her performance in The Housemaid (now available on Starz and Prime Video), the star is locking down her next major genre project. A Trip to Sleepy Hollow Sony Pictures has won a competitive bidding war for Hollow, a high-concept feature film adaptation of the upcoming gothic novel by Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines). Sweeney is officially attached to produce and star in the film, while Beer will write the screenplay and direct. If you think you know The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, think again. This isn’t your middle-school English class’s Headless Horseman story. Told from the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel (the role famously played by Christina Ricci in Tim Burton’s 1999 classic), Hollow reframes the iconic heroine. Rather than serving as a passive romantic trophy for Ichabod Crane, Katrina is thrust into the center of a dangerous mystery and a seductive, supernatural love triangle. The project is being

The blood flows for his demonic spectator. Meanwhile, upstairs? Three generations of clueless Grimaldis—and, strangely, a snapping turtle—are blissfully celebrating their extravagant lives. For the last few decades, the Grimaldi lineage has enjoyed

Checking out Gunnar’s MILITECH Gaming Glasses inspired by ‘Cyberpunk 2077’
Our friends at Gunnar are back with their latest collaboration with Cyberpunk 2077. This time, we’re stepping out of Night City’s underworld with glasses inspired by the game’s nefarious weapons-manufacturing megacorporation, MILITECH. For those not familiar with our friends at Gunnar, they specialize in making glasses that have anti-blue light tech. Screens give off blue light that’s invisible to the eyes but can cause strain and fatigue for them. Gunnar’s glasses help block this light to allow those who look at screens all day to work in comfort. Gunnar’s glasses are used by pro e-sport players, gamers, the military, and even animators at DreamWorks. The Cyberpunk 2077 Militech glasses take on the look of range glasses, befitting a corporate merc. The polymer frame wraps around the face to offer a wide view with flexible hinges to ensure comfort for long periods of wear. The lenses will protect your eyes from harmful blue-light coming from your screen (not bullets). You can

Movie Review – Troll (1986) – MVD Rewind Blu-ray
The Potter family; Harry (Larry Cohen regular Michael Moriarty, The Stuff) and Anne (former Charlie’s Angel Shelley Hack) along with their children Harry Jr. (Noah Hathaway, Battlestar Galactica, The Neverending Story) and Wendy Anne (Jenny Beck, the ‘80s V franchise) move into their new abode; an apartment building in San Francisco (though this was filmed in Italy… though we do get a fun matte painting of the Golden Gate bridge). As most apartment buildings in films are, this domicile is filled with crazy characters (besides Moriarty) such as Eunice St. Clair… a feisty elderly witch (the original Lost in Space’s June Lockhart… played in younger form by her daughter Anne… who was also in Battlestar Galactica) and her pet mushroom creature, a yuppie couple (real-life married duo Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Seinfeld and Saturday Night Live’s Brad Hall), a swinger (Sonny Bono of all people), a military/big game obsessed health nut (WKRP in Cincinnati’s Gary Sandy)… and an evil Troll named Torok

Game Review: ‘The Green Light’
You hate your job and just want to quit without consequences? That’s pretty much what The Green Light is all about. Touted as a psychological horror, you take on the role of Fred, a man who wants to be an artist but is stuck working a dead-end office job. The green light of a lighthouse calls to him to just walk away from his job and answer its call, along with the voice of a mysterious man on a radio. I should say right off the bat, The Green Light is a short game, less than half an hour long depending on how you play. It’s impressive that it was all done by one dev, waleedzo, but I feel that Take It! Studio let him down with the port to console. Right away, there are issues with the game’s volume; it’s way too damn loud! The only option to adjust the volume is the Master Volume, which makes Fred’s dialogue
