IFC Films Unveils Tension-Filled Trailer For Psychological Thriller ‘Resurrection’

IFC Films has now unveiled the trailer for writer-director Andrew Seman’s (Nancy Please) jaw-dropping sophomore feature, the psychological horror film Resurrection, which had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. In the film, “Margaret (Rebecca Hall) leads a successful and orderly life, perfectly balancing the demands of her busy career and single parenthood to her fiercely independent daughter Abbie. Everything is under control. But that careful balance is upended when an unwelcome shadow from her past, David (Tim Roth) returns, carrying with him the horrors of Margaret’s past. Battling her rising fear, Margaret must confront the monster she’s evaded for two decades who has come to conclude their unfinished business. Lars Knudsen produces for Square Peg, along with Alex Scharfman & Drew Houpt of Secret Engine, and Tory Lenosky of Rosetory, Resurrection opens in theaters and arrives On Demand on August 5, 2022, with a Shudder release to follow.

Dark Star Pictures announced today that the home invasion thriller Human Factors, that screened at Sundance, is set to be released late this May. Sabine Timoteo, Mark Waschke, Jule Hermann, and Wanja Valentin Kube star in the German-Italian-Danish production from director Ronny Trocker, The film centers on couple Nina and Jan who have signed a new politically-charged client, forcing them to confront their clashing priorities. To escape mounting tensions at work, they whisk their kids, Max and Emma, away to their seaside vacation home. But what’s meant to be an idyllic off-season retreat turns sinister when a mysterious home invasion sets everything off balance.
